I bought this XOLO Q1000 Opus phone from amazon. From day one it has given a problem of volume i.e. my voice doesn't reach clearly to other end. Power button was working intermittently. After one service it stopped working completely. I hope XOLO company will try to resolve this problem. After such experience I would not recommend this phone to anyone.Note - I bought it in July 2014 and now its Oct' 2014 still the problem is not solved.
A gem in its price bracket

I ordered the phone from amazon[GABBAR DEALS] on 3rd june and received it in nagpur on 5th June for 7187/-. The tracking, packaging and product condition were all prompt and prime. I also got a free world-cup edition-Liverpool branded football as a gift,much appreciated Gabbar deals and XOLO :) A good quality Flip cover and screen guard is included in the box.About the device:The phone is excellent quality. I am an enterprise level user and previous and current phones include S2 and HTC Mini in my family. This phone blows the S2 away with its performance. I have played real racing and NFS Most Wanted with zero lag or frame drops. I also ordered a Transcend 16 gb class 10 memory card from amazon and that is working smoothly with the phone.This was ordered as a backup and has quietly replaced the S2 :PI have not updated the phone with kitkat yet as all the problems have not been fixed with that update but I am very happy with the near stock ROM. Battery lasts a day on moderate to heavy dual SIM 3g usage and some heavy games for 20-30 mins.I do plan to get a higher capacity battery like a 3000 mAh in the near future.The camera is okay,nothing groundbreaking, clear in the day,average in the night.Front is barely okay for Video Calls.For the price you pay for it,processing is fast,really fast.You have to see it to believe it, blows micromax in the same price or slightly higher bracket away.To sum it up, do buy the phone if 8k is your budget,nothing beats it. I used to be brand conscious but the performance of this phone has been revealing. Add decent headphones and the device is complete.

I am writing my review on Day 2 of possessing my phone.
Full disclosure :
1. Since I like this phone so far, some of my reviews may be out of positive emotions any new gadget can bring
2. I am not a hard-core gamer so my review will be for average to power-users.
Flipkart :
I think there's no second thoughts here that Flipkart has been exceptional. I ordered this phone on Sunday (2nd June) and got it on 3rd June in the evening. So kudos to Flipkart!
XOLO Q1000:
The specs of this phone are wonderful almost akin to Samsung Galaxy S3. Let me point out what the short comings of the actual product are and how big a deal-breaker can they be.
Phyisical appearance : This phone is quite a handful. Looks very pretty. Operating with one hand might be a slight problem because of the giantness of this phone. Your thumb can stretch and ache a bit moving from one end to another. But then, am not overly worried about it. It's fun. The back of the phone is rich looking but buttery smooth. Butter-fingers need to be careful while handling this, as the phone might pop. Having a phone-case should fix this problem.
Display : Gorgeous. 720p is pretty awesome and the colors look true and running You-tube 720p videos make you jump with the clarity you get. Full marks here.
Sound : Little disappointed here. Make no mistake, I can hear the other party well. But I really need to focus to hear them out well. So, be prepared for a limited volume phone reception. This is not a big deal for me and for people whom this could be, I'd suggest using a headset.
Performance: I was using an Apple Iphone3 before this and I didn't find that big a jump in a quad-core processor. Scrolling screens is ultra smooth but there were a few occassions when the phone did take a little more time in fetching data or populating a setting screen that I'd expect. The capacitive buttons too did not respond a few times as the phone was busy processing. I guess this happens is Samsung galaxy also. Again this issue was isolated and at this point ignorable.
Battery : On day 1, I used up 50 percent in 3 hours. But I was fully browsing and downloading non-stop as any gadget-freak would be fiddlig with their phones on day 1. On day 2, I emptied the fully charged battery in 10 hours. Bug again I was having heavy browsing and downloading. So battery I am sure would last better than this, but being such a monstrous phone with quadcore and 720p display, I don't expect miracles honestly. So expect a full day's charge with moderage usage.
On the battery front I noticed two more things. Having both the SIMS loaded will gobble up more battery because the phone has to be in radio contact with two towers. I'd suggest to disable the second one and use it only when absolutely necessary. but then this is my take on it.
The second thing I noticed is, I tried to drain the battery to empty and then recharge it so that the system recalibrates. I was stunned to notice that the last 1 percent lasted for 40 minutes. I am thinking that the battery was not calibrated at all. So this could be another tip. Drain it the first day to absolute zero and recharge it.
Camera: didn't experiment in detail. On the surface, it looks strictly okay. Nothing fantastic. I will update this review if possible in days to come.
Overall am happy with this phone so far. A very good buy if you ignore the few inconveniencess that make this phone.

I am writing this review after 1 month of usage. This is a very good product.
pros:
1) Very good battery backup, 7 hours for heavy usage; more than 2 days for minimal usage !!
2) slim and sleek design and very good built quality. Yet to test the Dragon Trail 5"screen ;)
3) camera quality is very good (full hd)
4) 1080P video play back is very smooth and no lags.
5) Installed and played games like Asphalt7 heat, Dead trigger, into the dead, blood and glory, subway surf, temple run 2, beach buggy, contract killer2, fruit ninja, jetpack joyrio etc. No lags at all.
6) good touch sensitivity, color reproduction is very good.
7) music clarity is good, use 'poweramp' to get a better experience.
8) Browsing is fantastic experience in this phone;
Phone is little bit slippery and need more care when using with one hand, little worried about the projected back camera, it may easily attract scratches. One more thing, they could have increased the speaker volume and call volume.
Cons:
1) no otg support, no hdmi support
2) no magmatic sensor
3) no led call notification
4) no inbuilt call recorder (crashed several call rec. apps) and no inbuilt smart screen lock feature.
5) not good for heavy gamers
6) we cannot move apps from internal or phone storage to sd card. (for normal users like me 4GB internal memory is more than enough)
7) whenever I open google map it shows searching for GPS and it is lagging.
But overall performance is very good and value for money!! Go for it... :)

I bought this phone for my sis and she is very happy with this phone.
Build Quality is OK
Phone feels very smooth to use.
Audio amplitude is a bit low so music lovers may get frustated about this.
Looks are very good .
Temperature rises a bit.
Gaming performance is good like other similar devices.
Display is also very good.
Negatives is only the audio amplitude other than that very good device.
BTW XOLO Devices don't give good aftermarket services and they don't reply to their online emails and "reach us" section. So think it as china phone only. Don't keep good hopes from XOLO

xolo q1000 is best phone in the world I purchased it a long time back it is working very very very awesome it heats up after regular usage but just this problem as everything is best in this phone in the price it was offered two years back 1gb ram gives smooth and flawless performance in everything you want to do with this phone the front camera also great for skype calling back and resorts a good for taking up hd pictures and videos camera button is not next thing which gives you head over any other phone google android 4.4.2 to 4.2.2 this is very good and also the battery of 2100 mh is of nice backup for 5 to 7 hours on normal usage + 3 to 4 hours on very very very heavy usage on three g data and wifi I am using everything on this phone this is just awesome pretty well and nothing can get over it it cannot be better now next one I want is 3gb ram but still it is nice phone best part is the screen hd display and so smooth and everything which is playable on android I just want to suggest that everyone can purchase this phone on good price is available google android 4.2. 1 is jelly bean that is pre installed in this but no updates till now that is the drawback of this phone everything else is just superb build quality masterpiece of xolo

I received a defective item and on first usage itself there was issue with display of the phone, moving from one screen to another, deleting photos taken etc. we contacted seller Saholic and were instructed to get a DOA ( dead on arrival) certificate from service center (only 2) in Bangalore. On contacting and visiting one of the service centers and waiting for almost an hour we were intimated that they were unable to process the DOA as the server is down and we're asked to revisit them to collect the certificate. It is too tedious process to run around the city seeking for DOA. Seller Saholic has been very irresponsible in supporting when it comes to such issue and support provided is very pathetic. We have paid full amount for a defective product and unable to claim back. The procedure of refund is too tedious.

I thought i got the best deal out of Amazon, but when i opened/switched on the hand set it started behaving abnormallylater when i called up amazon, they asked me to return the piece and refund the money :-( and there is no piece replacement.my question: why to refund the money, i could go to any store in order to save the time, if the piece got defected then again Amazon should have replaced it,i didn't wanted to get this mess (of refunding the money) .. then wait for another deal etc. etc..Then finally i decided to go to XOLO service center (and they reinstalled the OS) and device started workingFew days ago i observed another point, while there is any CAR horn (major noice) then there is disturbance in the call (voice filckers)somwhere its my gut feeling, that such kind of deals comes with defective materials and customer gets screwed up :-(i am really disappointed and highly dis-satisifed with this deal, ideally there shouldnt have any single star, howeveri rate * for the price part.Dont know if somebody would react in this matter, however i completed my social responsibiltyThanks AmazonRegardsYash

Hi,After going through tons of phones and phablets in this price range, and after a lot of debates that i had on buying a XOLO Q1000, Canvas HD, or the likes, I finally finalized on this phone.. and let me tell u.. I am TOTALLY SATISFIED.. While many still argue that Micromax is a better brand.. then here is what XOLO has better: Its the overall build quality, Screen (DragonTail) and the User Experience. Beleive me when i say, Canvas HD looks like a cheap china phone in front of XOLO Q1000, which has a very premium look. This, coupled with a flip cover case, u r all set to enjoy its awesomeness.. A battery with 100% charge can last for about 32-33 hours with normal usage, even on 3G network for the entire duration. Disadvantages could be, that q1000 is a bit bulky, and GPS locking takes time, but then at this price range, there are some compromises.And haan, even Canvas HD or the likes have GPS locking issues :POverall, I m thouroughly satisfied with this phone, and would defiintely recommend any1 who wants a budget HD Resolution phablet.You may have heard k after-sales service of XOLO is bad, but then again, whose is good ;) All the best .. I highly recommend this phone. Before buying it I was under some doubts since it was not from a branded company. But compared to what I spent, the results are very pleasing. The phone performs very well & has very good RAM & CPU power. I bought it mainly for gaming. Though it does disappoint in very high resource consuming games like Asphalt 8, there are ways to modify the hardware to use its GPU to its extent. I haven't tried it yet.Overall, the phone is a very good buy for its price. Go for it !!!
