Is light in weight and has good sound quality.
Radio Frequency setting is also good and easy and clear.
Liked it very much... Those who require just soft and personal music and are not tech savvy, this is best for them.

I needed it to play an instructional audio available only in cassette format. Operating this reminded me of old days.
Good voice quality for both Tape Player & FM however I wasn't able to tune into any AM frequency stations. Batteries were also included in the package which was really helpful.
Overall a good product which offers desired benefits.

Real compact light and great and clear Output in the Radio as well as in the tape recorder.
User friendly for elderly folks! My Mom wanted to listen to Ceylon station Seychelles. The clarity is amazing. She loves it.

Poor performing device by Philips. It stopped playing cassettes within third week of its purchase. Built quality is poor, both on performance basis as well as look wise...Would not recommend...
Awful bargain.

A similar model I had purchased during 1988 was much better and lasted for 30 years. This piece does not appear worth it's cost. Even when the standby batteries are installed, every time there is power failure, the present time piece requires to be reset. There seems to be some manufacturing defect. The radio reception is awful.
24hr time format only!

The product delivered, was not up to the mark, sound is too low to listen, even in its highest volume. The box did not have any manual of the product. This was a gift item for my father in law, I really felt bad and decided not to purchase any more product from Amazon. Thanks.

Overall okay to serve the purpose. Build quality okay but very small. But there are limitations.1. No AM / PM setup for time only 24 hours format.2. Small in size as it looks in the picture for Amazon.3. No AAA batteries included in package. ( even if you buy Rs 400 worth orpat clock you get battries included ).4. Comparing the size feels a bit overpriced.

Good FM Radio - Clock

Just the right size, with a good digital display.
Sound quality is pretty good for a small room. Like other Radio-Alarms it is not a Hi-Fi system so don't expect it.
It comes with a wire antenna that can be unrolled to get a clearer reception.
It has a 9V battery connection (9V battery not supplied in packaging) which backs up the memory.
Note: This battery is only for memory back up only, the Radio / Clock will not work on it, to use the Radio / Clock, it has to be plugged into a power terminal.
There is no output socket to connect external speakers, not that I particularly expected it have one, but it would have been nice to be able to connect it to other devices.

OK the +ve side first:
1) great clarity of sound
2) small (so dont go by the size of pic here)
3) alarm, timer - nice to have features
Now the -ve side:
1) May be its just me who is not doing it correctly or a manufacturing defect but let me share it -- autoscan works but somehow channels dont get saved in memory !! -really annoying
- followed the instructions per manual - no help!
- tried all permutation/combinations- still no luck
- any help someone who autoscanned and saved the channels - pls email me :)
2) works ONLY on electricity (9V battery is just for saving time in chip-memory) - doesnt even show the clock if not on electricity
3) buttons are a bit hard
4) clock shows only 24hr format (example 18:43 hrs - not too friendly - correct!)
anyways ...if some can help me email how to save the channels in memory - I would REALLY appreciate that :) - thanks in advance
Runs only on electricity

Recently, i bought this instrument. But later i got to know that runs only on electricity. I thought only radio alarm / radio will need it and clock and normal alarm will run on 9V battery. When i put the battery and checked it was not switched and in manual it was mentioned battery is only for backup of clock and alarm settings. Otherwise this is good and stylish. I had to buy 9v battery for Rs. 40 and new wiring at home for this :)

I am using this product for last 6 months or so.
Not pleasant to listen to different FM stations due to less sound clarity.
Tried different locations no luck. FM quality is not great, I wish it could have been much better product.
