Great phone from Microsoft
By Navin Vermaon
Nice phone from Microsoft. Excellent navigation and apps. Both front and rear cameras are great. Many peoples hesitate using Lumia but I didn't find any issue so far.Really loved its beautiful dashboard, really a great concept.
Not good for premium brand phone users...
By Ambika Prasad Mishraon
The worst part of the phone is battery back up... Hardly lasts for 4-5 hours when the full functionality(whatsapp, synching e-mail accounts etc) of the phone is turned on.... Probably the battery would last even less time if internet browsing is done....On the contrary if it is just used as a Nokia 1100 phone (i.e by switching off internet, Whatsapp, e-mail synching etc) then the battery lasts for about 24 hours...Also there is heating problem... Upper part of the phone gets heated too soon (after 7-8 minutes of use even)....
Totally satisfied with this phone
By Srikanthon
This phone is really good. This is my second windows phone after the Nokia Lumia 630, and I have to say I really prefer windows phones over Android devices now. after having used this phone over the last couple of days, these are my viewsPros - Windows OS (comes with windows 8.1)- sleek and stylish look (thinner and lighter than the Nokia Lumia 630)- 1 GB RAM (makes it faster than older Lumia models)- scratch resistant and as sturdy as any Nokia Phone ( a big plus for me as I drop my phone a lot!)- though it is not a camera phone - the camera (5MP) is good, flashlight in rear camera is a bonus. front camera gives very decent selfies- the battery life is very good, after the first charge I've been using it for 48 hours (with moderate wi-fi usage to download and install apps, trying out the camera + flashlight, the selfie app, bluetooth, for calls and other routine use etc.,) and there is still 40% power left!- touch seemed to lag a little the first 4-5 times I tried it, but after that hasn't given any problems (I have put a tempered glass screenguard on it and another reviewer said that his touch problems were solved by this - don't know how/why!)- the auto brightness adjuster and the sunlight reading adjustment are great.- the volume/speaker is good.- very reasonable priceCons - touch lagged a little initially and if it reoccurs will be a problem- since there seem to be very few stores selling windows phones, support might become an issue
Decent budget phone - but 2 yrs ago
By Nimit Chauhanon
Bought this phone almost 2 yrs ago. Reviewing now. It is just a budget phone but is reliable and well put together. Not recommended for today though. Plus windows mobile is essentially gone.
Cost cutting hits a new low! Cheapest of all
By LonelyBananaon
I bought it because my previous Lumia 520 was broken. So I know how a Windows phone work. The built quality is cheapest among all phones I've ever used. (that includes Nexus 5, Tab2 and Lumia 520). I mean you can even look at that hideous green chip when you remove the battery. The back cover is also so much feeble. It's worse than any of '100 back covers. Microsoft has tried to cut every corner to keep the price low. Even with 1GB RAM, games doesn't work how they are supposed to be. Performance as daily driver is very avg. AHH and yes Battery sucks, pretty much. Front Camera is much better than the rear one. That's the only thing I enjoy while using this phone. And If you're first time buying a windows phone, I suggest that you don't buy it for kids or relatives with relatively less experience of using a smart phone. Cause it's not so easy to get aligned with Windows on mobile.

For an otherwise awesome phone, touch issue is a major turn off
By Parth Daveon
Review after two days of using this phone. I got this phone at 8400 from Flipkart using mobile app discount.
This is one of the best phone in this price range. Further, it also does not look cheap at all. The black one has a matte finish at back which is a plus for me. However, I've previously used Lumia 820 and therefore, I had some high expectations with respect to screen resolution etc. You may find the screen resolution of 535 of bit lower quality; though it is decent at this price range. The battery is good for my piece. It runs for 23 hours with good use of internet and gaming. Camera is great.
But the major turn off is "Touch Issue". (Before buying the phone, google about Lumia 535 Touch Issue). Because of this issue, I'm finding it hard to use messaging apps. Very difficult to type. MS has said acknowledged the issue and have said they will be issuing the patch for the same. Hope it comes faster. But for now, because of this issue, this phone is a turn off for someone like me.
Touch issues!!
By SangMangon
Edit : After using it for 8 months I have decided to throw this in trash. Microsoft has never paid heed to the user reviews. They haven't rectified the touch issues yet. Though they claimed a couple of updates released by them is for resolving the touch prob, well those are lies. Microsoft has compromised the quality.
Do not buy this product!
Review after 3 week use
By Tanmoy Ghoshon
I'm writing this review after using of 3 weeks constantly. At first I was confused and scared about many reviews like touch issue, auto zoom etc. Confused when going to purchase. I have 4 options, Lenovo A6000, Huawei Honor Holly, Moto E, and this Lumia 535. Finally purchased this, because previously am an android user (samsung galaxy trend).
About this ph- Nice battery backup, No hang problem, didn't face any kind of touch issue & auto zooming prblm, good cmra qlty, games run smoothly, overall fast in processor.
One thing is bad, they provide a cheap qlty headset. u need to buy a good one.
Flipkart service wass too good as well as. delivered within 2 days. If u wanna buy a windows phone within 10k, go for this. thanx.
A true no-compromise budget phone.

Microsoft nails every aspects of budget phone with Lumia 535.
- 5 inch screen with qHD display thus 220ppi and protection of croning gorilla glass 3. Galaxy prime has same display without Gorilla Glass and prime comes at 15k.
- 1 gb RAM, Windows os run very smoothly even on 512 mb RAM but with 1 gb RAM say goodbye to all the resuming screen.
- Two 5 MP cameras. Rear one comes with LED flash but can only record 480p videos (no HD recording) and is average, but the front camera is where lumia 535 shines with the same 5 MP shooter as lumia 730 with wide angle lens, amazing selfies. PRO TIP: use 'Lumia camera' app, it clicks much better picture than default camera app.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quadcore processor which runs the os pretty smooth and is better than all those pathetic "octacore" mediatek processors.
- This has latest windows os with Denim update and you can activate cortana by setting "English UK" as speech language.
- Also this phone has proximity and ambient light sensors which were missing in 530 and 630.
- Double tap to wake, graphic equaliser are good addition but its missing colour profile for changing colour scheme.
Answers to few concerns that I noticed in various forums.
- Touch is ok, not as good as 630 but also not as bad as people are making it to be, it is just that sometimes scroll is registered as tap, and some missed taps but it is not that bad as it sounds.
EDIT: Microsoft has confirmed the touch issue and will be providing OTA software upadate for this.
- Though one sim is mentioned as CDMA but both sim support GSM sim.
- And yes it can play HD videos, just use class 10 SD card and download moliplayer.
- Also if your phone is lagging while using app or playing games, it is most probably because you are using old SD cards. Get class 10 SanDisk card, it works perfectly.
- You can zoom while taking pictures by sliding two fingers (Use Lumia Camera instead of the default camera app )
Buyer’s guide: You can get this at local store at 9000 or even less, don't go with this outrageous pricing of flipkart. Wait for WS Retail to stock it if you want different colour variant other than black at fair price.
And to all those guys who are complaining that it should have 720p screen, Snapdragon 400 and 8 MP rear camera, I have two words for you- Lumia 730 (best phone you can get for your money). I didn't notice many compromises as is expected by phones in this range, Microsoft could not have done better with this phone.
Awesome features but...........
By Ramprasad Mon
I bought this phone a week ago, all the apps and features are working smoothly but more you use the phone there is heat generating at the rear camera which I felt uncomfortable while playing games and using it continuously for 30min. I request Microsoft to resolve this technical glitch ASAP.
