Excellent VFM CPU for Gaming
By Sombuddha Kunduon
If you are still undecided on wheather you should go with a 'K' or non 'K' series CPU, I suggest you look at the price/performance ratio on the basis of four factors.
A K series cpu will effective longetivity to your rig at the expense of additional upfront expenses
a) MoBo which support overclocking will be more expensive than than a vanilla one (extra 3-4K)
b) you will need to spend extra on a good CPU cooler (2K)
c) you will need a higher wattage cpu (extra 1K)
d) Lastly a K series processor costs more than a comaparable base clock non K cpu(extra 2-3k)
In total you will see that buing a K series cpu entails an additional investement of 8-10K. After looking at this you need to take a decision if your budget permits a K series processor. Even so i guess with this processor you will be set for the next 2-3 years without an upgrade.
So if you have decided to go for a non k cpu then 3450 is the best VFM.I am using it for the last 2 months and performance is very good. Temps at idle is 32c and at load does not cross 50c.
Highly Recommended!!!
Best Value for Money...
By Himanand Raj Bharaton
Pros: -Ivy Bridge(3rd Gen,latest tech,22nm Manfct.)
-Best performing processor in its price range for stock
users(non-overclockers).
Cons: -HD2500 graphics...which is even less in performance than
the last gen HD3000.(((although it doesn't really matters
cuz no one relies on on-board graphics these days)))
-Price is just a little short of i5-3570
Conclusion: I would personally go for a 3570k that'll cost u just a little more and u would be getting HD4000(that's just awesome)and u can overclock it to get a performance increase that'll be way beyond this 3450 processor...
But if u r not an overclocker guy than u shld go for this...
EXCELLENT GAMING CPU
By Abhishek Kumbharon
This is a great cpu with the latest intel's ivy bridge chipset
22nm technology and 4 cores which is more than enough if ur soul purpose is gaming and video editing or watching hd videos
it has intel hd graphics 2500 so u don't need to buy a extra gpu if ur nt gaming
if ur a overclocker then go for the 3570k version it will cost u more 2-3k
i think 3.1ghz is enough for gaming
my rig:
intel i5 3450 3.1ghz
Asrock h77 pro4 mobo
8gb corsair vengeance
Gigabyte gtx660 2gb oc edition
seasonic 620 psu
all bought from flipkart :)
and it runs all latest games at ultra settings with full hd 1980x1080 resolution :
Simply The Markets "Best" Processor for 2012, 2013 and 2014
By August McLarenon
My Friend Works At Intel, according to him this is one of the best processors of Intel and that bang for the buck kind too.
Points:
1. Intel Released "3rd generation processors" on 29th april 2012 i5 and i7 (not i3)
2. Its based on architecture called "ivy bridge" (successor to legendary sandy bridge"
3. 6 processors are released in core i5:
( Go to intel.com - go to menu and "2nd generaton i3 processors" - then click "Specify criteria to filter these products" - then select 3rd generation i5" there you will see the list (6 processors)
4. This is the most basic model but has everything!!!
5. It won't get outdated for a huge time of 4 years as analyzed by the best reviewers (tom's hardware, pc mag, top ten reviews and Intel)
Bottom line:
Buy this Processor!!!
Note:
The Best motherboards will be asus based on intel h77 or intel z77 chipsets...
:)
Good cpu for budget gaming.
By Vishnu P.G.on
the newer manufacturing process at 22 nm is good for people who keep a tab on temperature. The cpu runs at 45 degree celsius in most day to day task and around 50 to 60 on gaming loads. Pair it with 2 identical ram sticks to get the most out of it. Its the cheapest ivybridge available on indian market , not counting the s and p series processors

Good for low budget PCs. Do not buy it if you wish to play games on your PC. It is meant for home use only.
Bang for the buck !!!!
By Arunon
This processor is excellent. Got 3rd April. It gave me a Windows Experience Index rating of 6.8. Earlier using my dual core(LGA 775 socket), I could get on 22-25 fps on playing GTA4. Now it's 55 fps on an average!!! Now that's awesome! I'm currently using it with a 4GB DDR3 RAM. Don't hesitate, just go for it! You won't have to regret on buying it!
Pros:
1)It is cheap.
2)Its performance is comparable to i3 processors.
Cons:
None.
Good budget processor
By Shekhar Singhalon
If you are looking for a PC with everyday computing needs or even a budget gaming PC this can be the processor for you. With 2 cores & hyperthreading, it has a lot in store for the average home user. Foll are the pros:
1. Lower power consumption (65W) as compared to Ci5 (95W) as a result less heat generation.
2. Lower price as compared to i5-2500K (Around 6.5K lower)
Cons:
1. Can't be overclocked
People looking for budget gaming build (25-30K) should go for this processor with a better GPU like the GTX 550Ti or above.
last but not the least good service from flipkart... Delivered it within 48hrs of ordering...

Excellent Microprocessor
By Smart Buyeron
In an decent budget this is an excellent microprocessor, 3.3GHz, 2 cores with hyper threading technology. I have installed it on intel board DH61WW and no external graphics card. RAM size is 4GB. Onboard graphics HD2000 with DVMT is giving outstanding results. I have played NFS undercover and Battlefield and saw very good graphics performance.
Best Buy
By Rinkal Shahon
I did bought it for my small office computers, considering our work to be more process oriented then an average user. But i must say, i3 second edition is a real charm. Processing power is much improved then previous editions and even motherboard for this processor is cheeper then first generation boards. So in totality First gen and second gen costs the same but you get whole lot of new technology.
Go 4 it.

I spent many days on searching for a budget processor, I came around lots of options like: AMD fx-4100, phenom 960, 1075 and more.I was confused that AMD is offering 4 or 6 core in 7000 also have overclocking and higher clock rate then I compared this processor with each option I had using different different benchmarks and believe it or not it's best among them. So finally purchased this day before yesterday paired it with GA-B75-D3H and my old graphics card Radeon HD 5670. Going great.
The only limitation it has is: Integrated graphics are not that much good and obviously it's can't overclock.
I recommend it as an Must buy Processor.
