I got it couple of weeks back from ebay @9500 (thanks to discount coupon). I used Galaxy Y for more than 2 years and wanted a bigger phone with good battery backup, as I have seen other smartphone users searching for charging point all the time. There are only 2 options available in 10000 range, Micromax Canvas Power and Gionee M2. I saw its review on youtube and gogi.in and undoubtedly went for Gionee. Here is my findings after 2 weeks of usage.
Pros
- Being quad core, there is no lagging in phone and works very smoothly.
- Battery lasted for almost 3 days with full usage (wifi / 3G on all the time) and some game play between office hours.
- Display is awesome (not HD but comparable to some high end phones). Plays 1080p videos like a charm.
- Viewing angle is awesome on 3 sides but bad from top side. But you can compensate by rotating the phone 180 degree if needed.
- I played Asphalt 8 and no lag whatsoever.
- 1 normal sim and 1 microsim slot is beneficial to some people.
- Front camera is good too. Not as advertised by some people on gsmarena.
- You can use it as a powerbank and charge other devices with it.
- Good finishing.
Cons
- Bit heavy (200 gms) and if you have habit of using the phone while lying upside down, then it is not for you.
- The default widgets dont work on other themes (like Go Launcher). Maybe its just me or it would be resolved in next update, not sure.
- Charger provided charges it slowly. I use my wife's Nokia (1.5 A) charger. Takes about 4 hrs.
- Headphones are pretty average.
All in all, you cant get a better deal in range of Rs 10000. So all those who are skeptical, please go for it.

Everything is fine with Gionee but why people mostly lagging in buying is about after sales. They said that they have gionee support centers in all main cities, but If anything goes wrong with mobile, do we get spare parts immediately (because manufacturing is in China) and also in affordable price because they has to be imported so additional Tax??? If Gionee can give clarity about these kind of queries, then Gionee will be the best among all other mobiles i believe.. also one more question is as they are ceiled peaces, are they use and throw phones? I saw most of those phones are totally ceiled, if people go to customer support with any issues how can they look at it with out braking front or back panel.just think..Do we have to pay for new panel also?
Please Gionee answer to these kind of questions and improve your sales rate...expecting +ve answer.

last week i buy M2 black. look wise its gud looking phone. its perfect rectangle shape...

==>strong point of this phone is gionee gives 4200mhz battery(any company doesn't give this type of battery)..oh my god..!!!! u can't believe it its work almost 3-4 days with full use of internet ,gaming nd all. etc....its processor also gud.i m using from last 10days but never my phone hang..i have installed around 10games like temple run2, subway ,dr drive etc and continuously i play all game but never hang..
its HD screen so support all type of video..
******2 weak point********
===>weak point is its music system in loud speaker its gud quality but in head phone its not gud. in head phone its cheap level music nd also gives low level headphone.. and other is camera ..its camera result is gud in without flash but when we use flash there are lots of whiteness in pic so we cant see pic perfectly..
any ways its gud phone in this range i recommended to you if you are looking in this range gives first preference to this phone.. :)
Good Phone, but with Flaws

I will not talk about the specifications, its already listed.
After two weeks usage, this is what I found as Cons:
1. No LED indicator for missed calls and messages, every time we have to press the power button to check the missed calls/sms.
2. When a SMS comes in standby mode, the screen does not light up, we hear only the ringtone.
3. When we are talking with someone, the sound is heard even from the back of the phone i.e. from the place near camera, this is not by switching ON the speaker, still the sound is heard from the back. This happens even if you keep the ear piece volume low.
4. The user guide which comes with the package and pdf which is available on Gionee website is the same. It does not show the phone features like whats located where, like what sensors and buttons are located where on the phone.
5. Three Android keys at the bottom of the phone does not Light up, its kind of difficult during night times.
6. Cannot see the screen under sunlight, the screen acts as a mirror under sunlight.
7. Charging phone from 10% to 100% from AC takes at least 4 hrs and from USB takes at least 6 hrs.
Not sure if these are an issue with the Amigo UI or Jelly Bean.
1. Boring Amigo interface.
2. Daydream feature missing from Amigo UI.
3. Apps cannot be arranged in any/alphabetical order for easy access.
The best feature of this phone is the Battery backup. I charge this phone once a week, I use this phone for 30min voice, 10min games every day. I don't browse internet or do photography.
Nice mobile under the budget

This smartphone meets all my requirements
Pros:
* Camera features including auto-focus, panaroma, erasure, smile shot, gesture shot, etc are good
* Saves power by auto-adjusting the brightness with the help of light sensor
* Front camera is good enough to have video chat
* Quicker response and no hang ups
* Battery stays for even 4 days with standby
Cons:
* One of the SIMs is micro SIM (hence, SIM card needs to be cut)
* (Back) Camera is flat with the panel and hence fingerprints easily get imprinted on the camera while handling the mobile
* Large in size and bulky
* No OTG support
* Resolution could have been better
Conclusion:
In short, this is a good mobile under the budget, with a few disadvantages.
