My cousin got this laptop. I had persuaded him to get this laptop, considering his needs which are performance computing that including processing a large amount of RAW photos editing them, gaming (of course) and battery life since he is quite a traveller.
After spending quite some time with him and his laptop I have these observations:
1. The laptop looks beastly beautiful, with all the customizable lighting you would always want to turn off the lights and enjoy the AlienFX.
2. The laptop features GTX860M which managed GTA 5 at High Settings in 1080p at 45-50 FPS. Quite a delightful performance.
3. At balanced mode, the laptop provided us with 5 hours of Web Browsing and Videos. And, 8 hours of Documentation work.
4. The laptop features a proprietary connector which allows us to connect an External Graphics Card Adapter, that provides a PCIe x16 3.0 Slot to connect a desktop graphics card. Which in my opinion is a great feature.
5. Besides all these, the applications pre-installed are not your usual ones, slowing down your PC. Dell's SupportAssist, AlienRespawn and Alien Command centre are best-in-class in functionality and ease of usage.
What more I'd expect:
1. A Quad core processor.
2. More RAM, like 16 gigs at least.
3. Bundled bag or a mouse, considering the premium you pay to buy this laptop in India (or Asia).
Consider the Dell XPS 13, Razer Blade, for more options.
