Great Lens with Excellent Performance..
By Rajeeb Dashon
After a lot of research on the web, I decided to go with this lens. It was really a pleasant surprise for me when the lens was delivered with in 2 days (although on site it says 2-3 working days).Awesome Seller.I was having some issues with the lens. But the seller took the responsibility and replaced the lens without any effort. 5 Stars for the Seller.
Being an new comer in the filed of photography, though I got my first DSLR Nikon D5300 almost 5 months ago, I started exploring its features only when I had this lens. With a range of 18-270mm this is an amazing lens for both wide angel & telephoto. Read in an earlier review about the absence of VR feature (which comes with Nikon lenses), but truly speaking with a god gifted pair of steady hands & a tripod I don't miss the VR feature much.
I also read in one of the review that the AF works slowly in low lights, well I can say that is partially true because it worked for me a couple of times but didn't worked many times, but only AF. MF works perfectly fine.
The lens is very compact & not very heavy. The packet contains a lens hood as well. It also has a very useful "Lock feature" which enables you to ensure that the lens will not be damaged during traveling.
Overall, a must have lens for beginners.
A nice Lens
I had received the lens a week before, results are very beautiful. Going on a long weekend with the lens will update the review once back.
very very easy to use this lens. I like it very much even Indore also take quality picture.
Very good lens
Very good product
Real all rounder
great product for the price - nothing come close. I'm using it with the Nikon 5100. Excellent for travel, as you don't need lens change now and then.

Must-have for an enthusiast..!!

I have a Nikon D 5200 and I am not a professional photographer.
About the lens:
The Bad News:
I dare not say that it's a professional lens. In my opinion, they would be better off with a Nikon 28-200mm and a Nikon 80-400mm coupled with a macro lens. It is designed especially for APS-C sensors, so we know its not for the professionals. Tamron 16-300mm does not give you that crisp image which you as a professional would desire. In addition, the zoom is a little "tough" and not as smooth as you may want on such a pricey lens.
The Good News:
If you aren't being paid for your photographs, then you must have this lens. In addition to being an all purpose wide angle + telephoto zoom lens, it has a superb adaptability to take great macro photos. The image stabilizers are very quiet and very effective even at 300mm for day-light shots, however, you would be better off with a tripod at 300mm in low light.
As a traveler and a casual photographer, I would recommend this lens for its versatility and low price. I have yet to take this lens on one of my trips, but I have taken about 100-150 pictures and I must say, they are very nice. Overall, I think, it is a fabulous lens to have with Nikon D 5000s and it does not punch a very big hole in your pocket. This lens was also awarded the EISA European DSLR Zoom Lens of 2014-2015.
Now for Flipkart, especially WS Retail: I think that WS is doing for flipkart what Flipkart is doing for the online shopping industry. The lens arrived within 1 day and it was sturdily packed and wrapped along with special 'Sealed Air' (it's like bubble wrap, but way better) which enhanced the safety of my lens at least 20 times. Kudos..!! to Flipkart and WS Retail for such wonderful work.
An excellent lens.

Purchased the lens only about 2 months ago and used it with Nikon D7100 Camera. Quite impressed with the results.
Super smooth super-lens

I was planning to upgrade from my 18-270 Tamron which I have been using for the last four years, and as soon as I saw that Tamron has launched this new lens I ordered it from Flipkart.
I got the lens yesterday, it is a few mm thinner than the 18-270, feels a bit lighter too, but the picture quality is outstanding.
The auto focus is super silent and smoother than my earlier lens, thanks to the PZD. The focus ring has the distance display under glass too, and is now near the body so that it does not get covered by the supplied hood if the hood is fixed in reverse.
I will need a UV filter for this lens now.
Nice lens at very reasonable price

I have replaced Nikon 18-105mm and 70-300mm lens with this one. So far I am getting amazing result. The lens is quite durable and robust. Usage is quite smooth though initial few days the rings were bit tight, I think which is normal. Highly recommended.

It is an awesome lens within 30k. It has an great zoom range with added benefit of 16mm wide angle. The negative aspect is presence of color fringing at the edges at zoom but it can be corrected via software. Given its versatility and solid feel, its an all time lens. Tamron offered 4 years warranty and also provided a year of international warranty on request. Happy with the lens and I am using it for more than a month now replacing my kit lens. I would recommend it for a traveller who likes to have a convenient option rather than switching multiple lens. With the price i got during the sale, it beat the international price as well (500$) so i grabbed it. Happy clicking
