Macro Photography Lens
By Pradosh Nairon
My Story:
Wanted this lens to pursue macro photography and it works very well for portraits as well.
Went for this because 40mm/60mm would need me to be very close to the object (mainly bees on butterfly) and 200mm i could not afford at this point of time. To that extent the price is good.
Focusing it manual mostly and not expecting it to be autofocus but we can do m/a feature for portraits comfortably.
VR comes in handy when we are unable to use the tripod and are dependent on hand support.
Must have for all FX users

If you are shooting Wedding and Products with a FX body, you must get this one. Reasons below:
@scorpioprithu
Low Priced Tele-Macro-Potrait lens with nano-crystal glass.
Captures really cool 1:1 close-ups and beautiful Bokeh in potraits.
VR takes care of high magnification camera shakes.
The lens is an useful one in many ways, not like other Potrait-only primes.
Absolutely brilliant lens

I would like to say this Lens is Worth a buy for Macro and Portrait enthusiast. Although price seems a big leap compared to its Tamron and Sigma counterparts, none of them can match its performance in image quality and Bokeh. With VR (Vibration Reduction ) you can take quick macro without much blur effects. But with a good tripod combi you will find the gem through this lens at 1:1 macro.
Pros:
*105mm is good enough for Flower and insect photography. Although Butterfly photograhy it will be quiet near as i guess.
*Good build quality.
*Excellent Bokeh in Portrait
*VR is very much effective.
Cons:
* Price :-P
Fabulous!

Latest lense for macro photography
Excellent lens and great value for money !
By Goutham Shankaron
I have had this lens a couple of weeks now. What at first seemed like a very good lens is now one I consider
exceptional.
In fact it is now my favorite for several reasons.
First of all this lens consistently produces beautiful, even toned and amazing Bokeh to my images.
This lens has an extremely short depth of field and performs best on close subjects after f/5.6.
Impressively, the Nikon 105/2.8 VR shows center and corner sharpness through the entire aperture range.
This is destined to be a favorite Nikkor lens for many of us. For me it is already!
For Macro Photography, Highly Recommended Lens !
