1. You can expect very sharp photos in all the range (18 to 105 mm).
2. A must have lens in your kit.
3. I have taken many shots, all have good sharpnes, i prefer this for taking the landscape photos.

this baby is truly amazing awesome and mind blowing !! go for it ...worth buying..but the price could have been a bit cheaper overall its a great all in one lens. every type of photography will be covered.! telephoto to macro ..however you dont get a very close up view but ya it is decent. If you are an amateur photographer..then this is a great lens to start with !!

A very good one-for-all lens

A very good buy for someone who don't want to change your lens frequently...though I would recommend the 18-200 over this for being one of the best one-for-all, the price is too high for me :(, as of now. Defintely worth dishing out that extra money over your 18-55, so go for the body only and this lens. But know that DSLR photography is all about changing lens :), so do get a prime and telephoto later as and when your wallet permits.
And for flipkart, thumps-up to you too, I got the lens the next day...and for all the other things I have ordered, it's been great too.
A great starter lens

Nice bokeh and gives great results across the entire focal range. Hunts a bit in low light situations and I have had poor results on bumping up the ISO on my D5100. However, I completely recommend this lens instead of the standard kit lens (18-50)
