This is the 2017 Pixelight HDR 65in 4K Smart TV. (There are many confusing names for the same size TV's with Vu, also features improves and varies by year) Smooth delivery and same day installation (after some push and follow up). This is despite a rush of orders this past week due to lower prices, world cup football rush etc. This piece of tech is some work of art on my living room wall already. Ran a series of tests for dead pixels, bleeding, other performance checks using non compressed 4K, HDR10 UHD specific videos, simply amazing. Vu is Value for money, (Luxury ..hmm I don't think so). The price drop gave me a chance to score a deal as low as ?65000. At ?1000 per inch for a UHD it is equivalent to current US retail rates. Given India taxes everything to cause prices to double on landing or assembly. Great fit and finish, great performance, great sound for a TV speaker. No complaints. Sports and action have smooth rendering despite the pathetic 50Hz refresh rates thanks to Vu providing alternate makeup technology.This is where if you pay 130% more for the Quantum Pixelight version in 2018 you can get 100hz refresh rates. Upscaling 1080p videos is really a big positive. Even performance of not so high quality videos on YouTube was pretty good. Cons - It's not ultra thin, takes up a good 4 inches of depth on the wall No Bluetooth (for headset use at night) This is a monster power hungry display... expect higher electric bills, that's with most brands for all this technology. Very Limited apps, no Amazon Prime..also uses Opera browser. Extended warranty sales attempt by Jeeves...I don't like being sold extras. REVISED after 30 days of moderate use - downgrade 4* 1. Best to attach a Fire Stick or Chromecast to this I feel, no updates, no app install allowed etc. 2. There is a major WiFi issue with a Patch which only few Vu engineering team members know about I got mine updated to prevent LOADING loop on the screen on YouTube videos 3. Edge dimming has issues at times, looks like bleeding but it's not really. 4. I almost bought the TCL 4K 65in Android on Amazon to make up for lack of features on this for my bedroom TV, missed it by a second on checkout OTP delay...oh well! Saved 60000? 90 Day Review - Neutral at 4* With FireTV stick (1080p) we have been extensively using this TV and can confirm that it was the much needed steroid given lack of apps and content by default. I continue to play YouTube videos directly. No new issues or performance degradation at all. Value for money! It's always out of stock now and the ?70,000 65inch Android Vu TV is probably a better choice this big holiday sale season next month. VA+ panels are better than IPS in my view, unless you really need a wider viewing area given your living room design limitations.
