Pros.
First
of all its wifi is real good, connectivity is awesome thanks to mimo antenna technology . Offers wpa 1 and wap2 with aes offers connectivity to your guests aswell with dedicated password for guests . It has parental lock option signal strength is ok ,sufficient for me upto 1200square feet if u use it on the same floor . It offers mac filter along with spi firewall
Update your firmware and it will support ipv 6 with dhcp capabilities .
Bundle contains yellow cat5e cable for 1gbps support
It doesn't come with dsl spliter .it has 4 switching ports all r giga bit unmanageable .
Cons .
For unknown reasons it's nonvole tile ram which saves configuration settings doesn't work for me so can't switch it off. If it's switched off i have to re configure settings . Price is bit to the expensive side in India i got mine from abroad . Other alternative contender would be buffalo or asus adsl plus wifi combo
If you're looking for a good modem-router, the X3000 certainly not it!

First, 5 stars to Flipkart for insanely fast delivery! Bravo!
Now, onto the review:
I've had the pleasure of owning a "desi" Beetel 450 TX1 for the last 5 years (for a reasonable 1500 bucks); something that came bundled with my Airtel broadband service. This tiny little wifi modem-router served me faithfully thoughout; however, of late, I had difficulty connecting some of the newer devices to it, so it was time to upgrade.
Given Cisco's brand, and it's domination of the networking market, coupled with some research, I decided on the Cisco Linksys X3000, lightening my wallet by Rs 7600 in the process. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache and disappointment.
Whereas my Beetle would give me a signal strength of 84% two rooms away (where my desktop is placed), the X3000 manages an absolutely contemptible 28%. After some tweaking of the beacon interval, RTS Threshold and Fragmentation settings, I was able to get the signal up to 34%. My 4 Mbps internet was reduced to a paltry 1.8 Mbps because of the poor signal strength. Believe me, the internal antenna that comes with the X3000 is utter crap. Sure, I could stretch the modem halfway across the two rooms and expose unsightly DSL wires all over the place, and hunt for power points to plug the X3000, but the question remains: after spending 7600 bucks, why should I have to do that?
To fix the problem, I had to spend another 3000 on getting a Netgear range extender: Thank God it actually works and I am back in business!
The bottom-line is: stay the heck away from this crap masquerading as modem router. You'd be better served sticking to a humble Beetel. Shame on you Cisco!
superb modem / Router

1. Was upgrading fomr netgear 614 as signal was not reaching all rooms.
2. Having MTNL boradband- this was better than any other model as this is compatible with MTNL.
3. Better than Netgear WNDR 4000 as gives everything in that model plus is sleek plus wall mount is a great help. AND price is flipkart special. so nothing could beat this one for a perfect home use modem/router.
4. Signal is superb in all rooms corners.
5. Installation was cool with MTNL settings taken in auto by the router during the installation with CD.
6. Parental control and guest login was new and found very useful and easy to access with only a couple of clicks at any time.
7. great Value For Money - Superb modem/ Router for home use.
- Flipkart Rocks ! - good packing , fast delivery,
- WS retails rocks ! - unbeatable price and availability. Nowhere on the net was this product offered at this price. I got it for Rs. 7371 on that day!
