Device Ok .But Can installation be simplified.?

Received the device in one day as promised.device is compact.found that it has a better reach than some of the other units.Installation was a bit more difficult than say d-link.In my case I had to seek telephonic technical support from Belkin and also the internet service provider. But extremely happy with proactive manner in which support was offered by Belkin.Ultimately could start using the device after two days.delay largely due to the SIP. The part number of the device as shown on amazon, , on the box of the item delivered and pasted to the device were different leading to a lot of avoidable confusion particularly when difficulties arose in installation.This may be avoided.
Not worth it

Cisco and TP Link provide better routers with a better range at a way better price. The internal antennas are not of much significance as portrayed by Belkin. TP Link's one long External Antenna that costs around 2k is fine. The USB Functionality is a fail..
If you still insist buying this router ensure u take a back up of the settings. I had to rest this router atleast once in two weeks when it stops working. Upon a hard reset and restore of the last saved config it works. Although you don't buy a router to learn to do this. definitely not worth the money.

~ This is one of the wonderful modem i have ever had, installation is self explanatory and easy.
~ Once you get it, you will have to update the firmware which is again a piece of cake. Updated Firmware is again wonderful
~ Loaded with safety features and options.
Overall Its user friendly and great value for money for dual band router + modem in this range

Hi,
I was using belkin surf wireless router for past 3 years without any issue and decided to upgrade my router for better wifi coverage/dual band/with modem.
After searching for days, i decided to but this router.
Cons:
Range: Wifi signals are very weak when it comes to wall penetration, i get only 1/2 bars in my next room. Tried placing the router at height/in the centre of my flat(1600 sqm).

this is the best router +modem i have come across in a long tiering search...it has amazing range and easy to install.....kudos to the belkin ppl....this is actually that good.
bad performance

Dont know where to start:
1) 2.4 Ghz connection just disappears from the wifi zone. No trace unless I restart the modem.
2) wifi range is worse than my 8 year old beetle modem.
3) too many disconnection from the internet. Problem went away when I just changed back to my old modem.
