GOOD PRODUCT BUT VERY SLOW REACTION TO INPUTS
By Ramkion
I got the player after about 3 days and was nicely packed. Full marks for that.
Firstly - Once i opened the package and saw the price on it, i was disappointed for the fact that the price on the original package was less than i pay on Amazon which shouldnt have happened. I am in Hyderabad with a a big electronics market here where i could have got it for much cheaper rate. Well i have learnt my lesson and will be careful next time.
I tried out my personal ear phones and the sound quality is quite good. Internal memory of 8GB and 16 GB of external memory is quite a lot to carry a lot of stuff on this player.
Over all i wanted a good product with more storage capacity and on that count this player is good.
Had the player charged and loaded with some music, i found that the response time is quite long. Usually 1-3 seconds to respond to certain commands. I believe that the more stuff you load, the slower the response would be. Its frustrating waiting for a song to start when you select it randomly from your playlist. Yet to load video and i am afraid it would slow it down further.
I believe Transcend is taking notice of these glitches and planning to rectify the same.
14 JUL 2014 - The player has stopped working altogether and doesnt come on even after being charged. Once plugged to the charger, the unit turns on but does not respond to any inputs. Had tried to charge it but the home screen comes on and stays as it is. Once unplugged from the charger, the screen stays on till battery runs out. doesnt play music nor does it react to any inputs. Not Good
By Poonam Mon
i wanted a mp3 player with bigger screen so that i could easily navigate through songs but my experience with this product has not been so good. the keys are hard to press and it takes long time to navigate to different screens.
Plus one more annoying thing is that you cannot make playlists on this device.
overall i am unsatisfied with this product. waste of my money :(
Very very low voice.

Please don't buy this product as its a waste of money. The major drawback is the voice. No matter how big or small speaker or head phone you attach to it, its voice is very very LOW.
MONEY WASTE.
Good Player for Music
By KBon
I always had a transcend player 4 BG using from year 2003, had problems only 2 time and after a firmware update its all fine. So this time when i wanted to get another player my choices were i-pod, cowon and others but since i never had any issues with my old MP3 player i chose to go with MP870. I got this player 2 days back. The looks pretty good. The sound quality is good, am using my old philips headphones, didnt even open the new headphones. The options are same as the old player but its quite slow. there is a lag when you try to run another song or go to the main menu. I feel its slow also the impressions on the buttons for rewind, forward and music + and - are totally wiped off in 2 days.also the buttons dont have backlight as used to be in the old MP3 player. the back button is also very small. Transcend should have either stuck to there 9 small button options as the old one has or should have given touchscreen options. Anyways i am pretty satisfied with this as i have already downloaded 600+ songs to listen as of now. so the rating for this product is 4/5. cheap and cool. No need to spend money on expensive brands just to show off.
