I got this product today from Flipkart. I tested it on Windows XP and Windows 7. Its an awesome product and the best low lost USB WiFi. Range: Around 20 meters with strong signal. 3-4 bars almost everywhere in my house. You can use this device to connect your PC/Laptop to WiFi routers. The best part of this device is you can use it as WiFi Hotspot, yes you can actually share the internet in your PC (wired connection) with Tablets, Laptops and Mobile Phones at high speed using this device. This makes you use this device as a WiFi Hotspot (instead of buying expensive WiFi routers. Other Wireless USB devices might offer high speed but only this device offers hotspot feature.

So I ordered this Adapter on the 26th of April and received it on the 27th!Kudos Flipkart! I have a wired broadband connection on my desktop PC (which has no wireless capability) and a netbook that was desperate for some internet! It seems like anything that could go wrong did, so here's a break down for anyone facing any trouble - 1) The CD that came with the Adapter refused to open so I downloaded the driver and utility manually from the TP-LINK website 2) After following the quick installation guide and setting up the adapter successfully, The wireless connection wouldn't recognize my wired ethernet connection, creating a separate network that had no internet access Solution: [This is for Win7] -Go to Network and Sharing Center and Click 'Change Adapter Settings' -Right Click your primary internet connection (Mine was 'Broadband Connection' NOT 'Local Area Connection')and go to properties -open the Sharing tab >> 'allow other network users to connect throught this comp's internet connection' -Under 'home networking connection' select the TPLink connection (Mine was called 'Wireless Network Connection') Press OK and go back to Network Sharing Centre -Click the the little house Home Network icon (of your primary Internet connection). A 'Set Network Properties' window will popup. -Click 'Merge or Delete Network Locations' >> select your wireless network connection >> 'Merge' >> select your current internet connection >> OK. This solved my ICS problem :) 3) THEN SoftAP wouldn't work :( so I downloaded Connectify which worked a charm! 4) Finally, my netbook was able to connect BUT the Access Type showed 'No Internet Access' :O This irritated me for about 2 hours of trying EVERYTHING when finally it turned out it was my Antivirus (AUGH!) So I uninstalled it and Voila!! PERFECT WIFI! Things have been working amazingly for the last 12-13 hours straight and all over the house too :) I hope this wasn't too rambling but turns out to be helpful. I love it and it's totally worth the price :D

Due to some problems in firewall i cant able to use this in windows 7x64bit but i install ubuntu and using command i finally able to use as hotspot for my andthe light blinks more in windows but not in ubuntu ........ heres those command for ubuntu To install it: $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8 $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ap-hotspot Next, to start the hotspot: $ sudo ap-hotspot start It asks you which adapter's internet you want to share, name of the network, password, etc. in an interactive manner. To stop the hotspot : $ sudo ap-hotspot stop To configure it: $ sudo ap-hotspot configure If any problem, hope this link helps.

This product is really good value for your money. I don't think you will find product of this quality in such a discounted price. Range: My second desktop is approx 10 meter away and there are two walls between it. Signal strength varyies from very good and good. Compatibility: I am using it with my ZTE (ZXDSL 531B) router provided by BSNL. It works very well with it. Delivery : I bought this product on Thursday evening 5 and it was out of delivery was initiated at 7PM. I got it on Sat 2PM. |Very fast delivery and good tracking system. Extension Cable : Cable provided is very thick which ensures minimum resistance and loss of signals (if u need to use it) Overall this product is good value fr your money. Regards, Sanjeev
