Sony DVP-SR750HP DVD Player
By Shyam Ton
Sony is always best in media/music , when I played first cd, I felt the complete change in sound, (compared to my old player), more over remote will remain the same for tv(other company will work too). picture quality is good too, functions are a lil bit complicated but I think I am first time user of dvd so I may felt complicated..
LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST FLIPKART ROCKS, DELIVERED IN JUST 2 DAYS,PACKAGING WAS EXCELLENT :)
Just about acceptable

1. Overall it is a good (above average) product but that is minimum expected from a brand like sony.
2. If you are an audio enthusist : Do not buy to be used as CD player (also) as the sound is 'bright', sharp (as in harsh). I did not know this problem about all the sony product). Earlier had philips dvd player and sound was superb, round and sweet (with good amplifier and speakers)
3. remote functions are not listed. There is no detailed manual.
4. Not easy to switch between DVD and USB (have to do it thru menu options)
5. It did not recognize some avi files (which 5 yr old philips dvd player did). what a shame !
6. have not experimented with video upscaling yet.
An average product

Got the DVD player within 2 to 3 days - Amazing delivery once again from flipkart. But not so happy with the dvd player as such.
I got this dvd player since it mainly supports NTSC / PAL ( Since I have a SONY NTSC TV). But the problem is that the NTSC output seems to be only applicable for the cd\dvd, But for some of the home made dvd's my wedding dvd etc., also does not convert to ntsc out...strange strange...( so if I play something out of USB I wont get a NTSC out..strange)..! The photo playback also does not have a NTSC out..fuf...!
The HD upscalling is good.
So I recommend this product if you already have a sony PAL or any other PAL tv - tv that is bought in India..If you go by the ntsc in the spec you might have to scratch your head again like me :)
Great product from Sony

I am happy that I ordered this product. It has amazing picture quality. Plus HDMI cable comes along with this.
Plus the remote that comes with this player can control my sony led tv as well.
I recommend this player over others in this price range.
And I was also amazed to get this player the next day of my order.
Color system coversions

The DVD player will not do any system conversions. Your home recordings, presumably were done in PAL settings, which the DVD player detects and gives an output in PAL. The TV in turn detects PAL encoding and decodes in PAL
Try and change your camera settings to NTSC and you will see the difference.
