is not working after 1.8 yrs of usage, not sure why. It never had a fall or was badly maintained. I used it for my mac as a backup and had a tough time when it got conked. No options in the market, so thinking to buy this again. They should be giving 5 years of warranty and give free service if anything is wrong. Hope they hear to this and take an action on this. Not sure how good is WD, but I believe both are manufactured by the same company.

I had a bad experience with it. Returned it after 2 days of use. When I was backing up my 300 gb drive to it, after an hour it became extremely hot and the transfer speeds literally dropped to as low as 0 kbps and didn't go beyond 100 kbps at max. I removed it let it cool down and tried again but to no use. To be honest the drive is slim and looks beautiful in pictures and in hand too but it is really flimsy. It feels cheap and you can actually feel the plastic bending. Maybe it will work for you but didn't work for me. I have seen WD's Ultra passport and that felt very sturdy than this one.

it worked only few days and now the drive is not detectingnow all my data is lost i tried recover from the seagate tools it is not working eitheri have raised service request to seagate and couriered the faulty drive to seagate still waiting for replacementpreviously i had 2 WD drives from past 3 years and did not have any problem with them till now.
