JUST TAKE CARE that u dun run system scan when u are working.. better put it on FULL SYSTEM SCAN and leave it when u are not using your lappy at all. i have also used the trial versions of Kaspersky.. Avast. and free Microsoft essential. if budget is an issue.. then u can try NORTON INTERNET SECURITY. NO PERFORMANCE ISSUES WITH NORTON. TRUST ME. RE-LIKE.

i was configuring my next PC.. and a antivirus is almost a must have... i have been using Norton 360 for a long time... its excellent... it come with 1 year subscription and after that subscription is over you have to either buy a new one or extend your subscription... 360 comes with free auto-upgradation to future versions...once you buy, you become preferred customer of Norton and next time you buy a new one using your Norton account, you get enormous privilege... for example my Norton expired this year so when i bought a new one i called up their customer care and got 650 days of subscription instead of 365 days... thats equivalent to 2 years for the price of 1... excellent antivirus and anti trojan... used almost all antivirus and found no one blocks trojans from entering PC as much as Norton do... it has some other privileges also like if your computer is, by any chance got infected you can call them and they will send people to visit you to make sure you system is free of virus... but for that facility you have to pay another one time 300 bucks extra while buying the product.. for more detail on this check out their website... but for home users i doubt you would be needing that... uses very less system resources; when you start a scan it slows down the system little bit but is you have free space in ram by 500MB you wont feel the bite... i have presently 1GB of ram with avg free ram space of 400MB... moreover now days almost everyone uses 2GB of ram... so don't bother about it much... LAPTOP USERS who have just 1GB ram, don't think about this product rather don't think about ANY GOOD antivirus... you laptop will slow down, with 100% guarantee...(this one is for Laptop users only) Very less pop ups... shows pop ups only when it finds a virus; and asks for user interference only when it cannot remove the virus from the file so the options will be delete the file or quarantine the file or don't do anything... people with less computer understanding can blindly take it also game freaks can also... handling the firewall is a little difficult compared to firewall specialized softwares... all good thing comes with a price so norton 360 at Rs1200 is worth every penny of it... based on personal experience with norton i have to give 5/5 hoping this would help people in indecision whether to buy this product or not... good luck

i using windows 8.1 this antivirus work with 8.1 is average it's ok som times it's hangs out note working properly but i think it's antivirus software problem but it's firewall protection is strong it's nice soft it's perfectly work with wind 7 or wind XP please dont purchase for Windows 8 or 8.1 windows 8 or 8.1 recomanded is mac safe or norton internet security or kaspersky
