LG GH24NSC0, this model is not there on LG india website, but shows up in LG USA website. I spoke with LG Customer care and they confirmed that this model is not present in the website. The name says it all, Its a DVD burner and it does the job flawlessly. The package does comes with SATA cable, Burning software disc (I didn't bothered opening it) and finally chassis screws. In my humble opinion the 0.5MB buffer pose no threat as now a days systems are pretty much fast and you wont get into 'Buffer underrun' during a burn session. I'm guessing this is some sort of an OEM version as it comes with no box just bare drive. But it does includes all other things like SATA cable, screws etc! Pros: Spins up pretty fast, Fast Read & Write times, also not so noisy and Affordable. With this price range nothing could be compared with it. Cons: So far none ;) Other thought's: The M-Disc (Millennial Disc) thing is pretty much useless, cuz I can't find a disc here, even if I did it could be insanely pricey. But its not a disadvantage either.

Pros: - Go for it best at its price range. You will get the same whatever is mentioned in product description. - Nice build, very silent and flawlessly smooth while reading/ writing. - Burns DVD's Fast at 24x as it claims. - Reads Scartched CD's smoothly. Previously I have used Samsung writemaster it has problem while reading scracthed Cd's, this one goes smoothly on most sectors. Cons: - Packaging was not such good. Comes inside a cheap polythene, no Internal LG's own box packaging. Although flipkart packaging was good. You have to be lucky to have its Optical parts undamaged while shipment. - Only SATA cable,4 screws, firmware cd is provided, SATA Power cable is not there so if your motherboard is old-age having normal power source then you have to purchase it saperately. - Firmware setup is specificly LG's default software only. You have to get Nero Start Smart saperately - Open/Close Button is not such smooth, You have to press it hard sometimes. Final Statement- Good product jst go for it without any second thoughts, best purchase at this range.

Cons: 1) Different Model It says "LG GH24NSC0" DVD Burner but i received "LG GH24NSD1" made in taiwan 2) Packaging was not good at all, LG original box pack was not there. Packed inside "Gujrat Samachar" news paper (WTF are they selling some food items?) 3) Product looks different from image shown 4) Delivered after 11 Days and I have to return it now. I will update the review as i get new DVD writer
