I have a Dell Vostro which usually heats up and then shuts down after an hour or two use. Heat was affecting my laptop so much that it will not even restart after the shutdown as it will take a long time to cool off. But that's not a problem anymore. I choose this cooling pad because: 1) It has 2 fans unlike one in other belkin products. These fans are pretty quite too. 2) Fans are positioned in much appropriate position, and not at the centre. The best thing is there is no way u can block the air flow. Now, I have been using my laptop for last 12 Hours and there is no heating up. My laptop now has its own ac :p Its comfortable to put on a lap although laptop will not fit tightly on the pad. It may move a little bit but not that much to cause a problem. Build is also rigid and the length of the usb is apt. EDIt- was working great till it was working. Suddenly stopped working. Was under warranty but was not able to contact customer care.

The curved design on this device is much more effective than the flat designed cooling pads. This curve creates a gap between the cooling pad and the base of the laptop which is very important for airflow. The airflow is what helps the laptop stay cool. People expect the cooling pad to make a huge difference to the temperatures of the laptop. You might notice a huge difference if you were using the laptop on a flat surface or a plushy surface like a bed. But none of the regular cooling pads do that. This one doesn't push a lot of air into the fan, but the curve in the design is what makes all the difference. There is space for air to move. This is a bit pricey but I assure you the quality is excellent. The build feels very sturdy and doesn't feel delicate like the competition. TL;DR : Excellent product, no hesitation buy!
