Go for it
By Amazon Customeron
The psu is good. Makes only a little noise only when we play high end games and render high graphics. The only back drop is that the psu is having too many cables as it is not a modular one, it makes the cable management a little tedious.
Best product in the segment

Antec VP550P 550 Watts PSUI am using this Antec power supply for the first time,Good packaging .extremely silent Fan is excellent with no noise and it has a good air flow. You didn't realize it's working unless you look at CPU lights. The quality of the product seemed to be very good to me as per the build quality from top to bottom Very high quality PSU. The internal components (wires/connectors) are good quality. Its really working with out any lags or and i never faces any power surges till using this psu.I'm quite satisfied and I think it is worth the purchase.i recommend this product . thank you (seller)Blue_horse and Amazon
Great for gaming PC
By Makeshwaranath Bon
Great so far. If you doubt that 550W is not sufficient for gaming PC, then you may be wrong.Supplying sufficient power for my rig at extreme ULTRA settings gaming GIGABYTE GA-B150M Corsair 8GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4 Vengeance LPX Intel i5 6500 Zotac GTX 1060 WD Purple 1 TB 5 extra led fans Keyboard + mouse Wireless donglePackaging is good and delivered on-timeProblem:The only problem I faced is the power cable which is intended for CPU, is not lengthy enough to connect to motherboard through the back panel of CPU. So that cable alone is visible, that spoiled the appearance of my rig.Resolved : I cut down one of the tie and did some little cable management and made it look better.
Power ratings are ok but quality freaks
By SRINIVASA RAO MAMIDIon
Pros:
Good Output
Black Color
Its Antec VP550P V2 model( Antec confirmed that the model support hasweel)
Low noise even more than 50% of load
5 Sata Cables
Additional one year free extended warranty if the product registered online with antec
Cons:
Very hard cables and no flexibility, some times there may be a chance to damage of hardware
No sleeves for the peripheral cables
Supplied power cord is 2 pin
But if you are concerned about only pure power and no matter of design, flexibility then it will be the best product at this price
High-end gaming rig?Just go for it.
By Hari Kandurion
Pros-
1.Abundant wires. It has 2x12-pin connectors which i very much needed for my graphic card and motherboard.
2.No sound and less heat generating fan.
3.A perfect fit for the Antec cabinets such as Antec v2.
Cons-
Not enough power supply for high-end graphic cards.
Does what it says on the tin and more.

The best PSU at this price range. Aesthetically, not so great but performance-wise, supposed to be way better than the Corsair VS550 which seems to be a very popular PSU here. One thing nagging me before I purchased this PSU was that it was not Haswell compatible. (Though I would have no use for Intel's advance sleep states at the moment.) But I was in for a nice little surprise when the model turned out to be actually VP550P V2; version 2 happens to be Haswell compatible.
I did a tonne of research before buying this product. I went ahead despite the low number of ratings and the one bad review. I'm glad I did.
Overall one great PSU.
Power Cable - Shock Issue
By Varun Agarwalon
The power cable provided with Antec is 2 Pin. Metal parts of my cabinet gave shock when i used the company provided 2 pin cable. This issue got resolved as soon as i started using regular 3 pin power cable.
Rest in terms of performance it has been good and packaging from company is great.
HUH??

*EDIT* The noise seems to have gone away after about a month. Hence boosting the score up.
Five days and the fan is out. It started rattling. The comp up time is probably an average of 3-4 hours per day. I haven't even installed a graphics card yet. This is ridiculous. I am running an ultra power efficient i5-3570K at min load (due to no graphics card yet) and one hard drive and an SSD. With these components, there is no chance that I am drawing full power.
