The phone was delivered on 9th june and it has been scarcely used since then but still I charged it 3 times! From 100% to 50% the battery backup is decent but not at all good and from 50% to 25% it is bad and from 25% to nil it just races at the rate of 2% per 30 seconds.I cannot play videos and use heavy duty apps cos' if I do that the battery would get over in half a day max.I bought 4 phones from flipkart out of which 2 had to be replaced and this is the 3rd one! If only the battery backup had been good then this would have been an amzing phone!The rest of the things are simply amzing.I've not used the boomband that much because that works on bluetooth and that would furthur aid the battery's race to 0%.

First uo ...flipkart is the best online shopping portal ...i ordered on the 3rd and the product was delivered on the 4th morning....without paying the extra Rs.90 The phone is unbelievable, All specs as expected are living up to the numbers ...the finish is very cool ...the display is like never seen before ...its a class apart... got the boom band and the JBL headphones .... headphones are neat ... havent tried the boom band ... The phone is thin and classy looking but also looks a bit delicate ....needs a cover badly . definate buy ... is worth every penny in fact more ...

About the processor........ The attractive part of this phone will be the CPU, as it is using the True Octa Processor. It is non-like Samsung Galaxy S4 Exynos using double Quad-Core and become a Virtual Octa Core. Once we talk about the True-Octa, some people might have some question to ask. Example. (1) There are so many core, what is the advantage? Ans : Many core is good for optimize the performance of the phone like example multitasking. However, we also need to know about the architecture of the CPU. (2) All core run together, it probably consume a lot of power? Ans : Yeah, it's a fact. But it is using Mediatek MT6592, even if all core is clock at 2.0GHz but they are using Cortex A7(Low power processor architecture, so another method to improve battery life) with Heterogenous Multi-Processing(HMP, big.Little architecture), this will greatly reduce the power consumption and make better battery life and powerful performance. Thanks to HMP architecture, as it will control the core, if the current application is not necessary, there will be only few core will be running, others will be sleeping mode. Therefore, it will greatly increase the battery life. (3) There are so many core run together, does the heat problem is serious? Ans : It is dependable, based on the architecture mention earlier, it will optimize the CPU so it will control core running fairly, so if user is not using high performance application should be no heat problem unless they are playing game, camera and play video for long period of time. Bought this phone at Flipkart on 10th Jun and it was delivered same day at my door step. Amazing service by Flipkart, havent seen any online shop delivering so fast in my experience. The phone is excellent piece of Gadget. The best device with 2 GH mediatek Octa core processor. No other phone can compete with this in this segment as of now. All mediatek phones are bugged by heating issues, I dont have that complain with this phone. More than 1.4 GB RAM is free. Great Camera for the given price. I have no complains from the Phone and its features. The Boom band and JBL headset is icing on cake. Music quality through headset is mind blowing. Screen is Full HD and sharp and touch is fluid. I have one complain regarding the packaged accessories. The accessories like Screen protector/ guard and back cover / flip cover should have been bundled along with the box pack. They are impossible to find in india at Local store or Online. At least, if the seller of this Phone could list some of these accessories for purchase too, I would be very much interested in buying them. Hope we will be able to purchase these items here soon.

After using 2 weeks: Pros: - Sleek design and attractive in looks - Very Nice Touch and brilliant response. - Very handy & did not feel any uncomfortable while carrying in pocket though its a 5" large display. - As i am die hard fan of Music, i got finally what i need, Yes that is JBL in-ear. - It is Preloaded Hi - Fi quality with the Sabre ES9018 DAC & Maxim 9720 headphone amplifier & supports 192 Khz 24bit playback natively. (Note: This Sabre ES9018 is found in the Oppo BDP-105 Blu ray player & is one of the best audiophile grade blu-ray player) - Do the Below Music Settings, Plug in JBL Headphones -> Turn on Music Player(Alcatel not the Andriod one) -> Go to Menu Options of the Music Player -> Go to Sound Effects -> Click on Equilizer(Andriod Equilizer) and Turn ON the Equilizer, - Raise the First and Last Bars full high (60 Hz to 15 dB & 14kHz to 15 dB) - Very little down the second bar.(~ - 4 dB) - Completely bring down the Bass Boost to 0. (Bring this Row Right to left) {if you keep this high it increase the hard beats, when you bring it zero, you should be able to hear the soft thumps). - Keep the 3D high.(from left to Right) - Preset Reverb - Keep as you desired (I use to keep Plate Reverb Mode) Now, Turn on the Hi-Fi Button on the Album Screen or Scroll down the Status Bar and from there you can turn on the Hi-Fi. -----------------So all Set------------- NOW Just Play a song-----I bet, You will Love the hearing style------ - Coming back to Pros, Nice Video Play, actually plays the FHD songs properly (Using BS Player form market). - Pre-Loaded Apps are Okay - Cam Quality is Very Crisp and Sharp as per the standards (Not too good! But its just do its job well). - Multi-tasking is very neatly handled by this phone! (Considering 8 babies working simultaneous, and with in this price bracket) Cons: - *** DO NOT Change the Alcatel One Touch UI Settings, Once i tried and total phone got hanged up and i replaced the mobile with the new one.*** - And Thanks to Flipkart for giving the replacement with in one-day. It happens with other phones as well. But this time i am not going to touch the UI settings. - Damn Serious Bugs in Alcatel UI Software. They Should employ the QA folks and have test them thoroughly as we(customers are finding defects). - Phone back side is given a high gloss look for shining purpose, as it will lead to skip from hands. Offcourse you can rid off from this having a flip case. Not a Major issue. Otherwise..Rest everything works good. I feel, its worth for the price.
