Faulty at times
By Jakephilipson
Disappointed woth this hub. Expected more from Transcend. The device fried the bridge board on my WD 2TB HDD and also corrupted my WD 1TB HDD. Massive loss of data.
product is highly satisfing.
By Vipinon
Best service ,after three days of order it was delivered.
The product is working fine,as with power supply speed goes upto 130 mbps.
I have connected two 2 tb hardrives, and one 1 tb hardrives and transfered the data between them speed was around 80 mbps.
All around product is highly satisfing ..
Must buy product
By LEONon
Highly recommended. True USB3 product. Getting transfer speed arround 80mbps on portable mechanical hard drive. If you have ssd it can reach more. Cord is short. I have to baught a USB3 extension cable costing 250 more. But overall very good product. Out of 5 I give 4. Minus 1 because of cord length.
Works perfectly

Works perfectly with Raspberry Pi.
Functional, Value for Money USB 3.0 Hub
By Rao Abishay Vijendranon
I wanted a USB-based docking solution for my MacBook Pro Retina 13" that could connect to the following devices seamlessly:1. Transcend 25M3 Portable HDD (5400 rpm drive)2. Bose USB Audio3. TVS-e Gold Bharat USB Mechanical Keyboard4. Airtel 4G DongleWhile the last three products aren't really that difficult for a USB hub to handle, the Transcend external HDD certainly is. It was clear that I needed a powered USB hub to handle the power requirements of the Transcend drive to ensure I got decent Read/Write Speeds. After much research, I decided to go ahead and purchase the Transcend TS-HUB3K as it was the best value for money USB 3.0 Hub I could find in India.I am now getting *slightly* better read and write speeds *with* the HDD routed through this USB hub. I'm extremely happy with the product. Apart from the functionality, the aesthetics of the product are also commendable. I like the way Transcend decided to give it a glossy finish, which is a dust magnet, but nonetheless adds a powerful punch to the overall aesthetics of the product. The port placement on this hub is extremely practical and it shouldn't be a problem to hook up four devices at the same time even if they bulged near the USB port. The only gripe I have with the product is that the upstream USB cable provided with the product was too small for my needs. However, getting a USB 3.0 Male-Female extender solved that for me!TL;DR: If you're looking for a functional USB hub at a decent budget in India, look no further!
Compatible with RPi2
By Latishon
I bought this specifically to be used with Raspberry Pi 2. Works very well. Fully compatible, no power issues.Great product. Great value with USB 3.0 for the money. It has enough power to connect 2 Portable HDDs, 1 pendrive, and at the same time power the RPi2.It has blue LED lights as indicators for the USB ports. The AC adapter cable is long for purpose. But the USB 3.0 cable is not very long.but at the same time, thankfully its not very short.Prompt, ultra fast delivery in Bombay
Poor support from Transcend and product develops fault within a couple of months!
By Kapilon
Works well till it does - in my case worked for about 3 months on my Mac then everything started stuttering and mouse connections also via the hub started getting erratic . Transcend support in India is virtually zero! Took some escalation still no support then Amazon was classy enough to offer a replacement refund on account of zero response from transcend . Five stars to Amazon . Zero stars to the product for being undependable and having a very short life span and zero stars for support of transcend .
A very good quality product, as you'd expect from Transcend
By A. Aon
A very good quality product, as you'd expect from Transcend. The length of the power cord is quite long, however I would've preferred a longer usb 3.0 cable as well. Since its a powered unit, it has no issue to run an external hard drive and an external DVD drive while simultaneously charging my phone. The distance between each subsequent ports are more then adequate and the transfer speeds are also very good. The only drawback I have with this is that it has no rubber feet to anchor it to the table therefore it tends to slide around on the table due to the torque of the cables attached to it.
Did not work for me.
By Bhushan Mehtaon
My requirement was to be able to connect 3 external HDDs to my computer at the same time. I asked before buying if this product will work, and was told it would. But it did not work for me. None of my HDDs got recognized, especially not more than one at the same time, even with External Power Adapter connected to the power supply. My current USB hub recognizes all 3 at the same time, but it is USB 2.0, and I wanted a USB 3.0 hub for greater speeds.Thankfully, Amazon's easy return policies got me a full refund.
Describing about usb 3.0 and a desired HUB
By Bhaskar Senon
Sorry , to most of the guys I think most of you don't what this device is for
I purchased this device in March, 2013 at that time it was not available in Flipkart..
I have Jetflash 700 32 GB pendrive which is a USB 3.0 device and a WD My passport 1TB which is another usb 3.0 device
guys you need to under stand what a hub exactly do any Usb port support upto 67 devices but it is applicable only for the signal but a usb power supplied by a port is very minimal for that when you are plugging multiple devices you need extra power
a usb 2.0 port devices consume 500mah power where as a usb 3.0 port devices use 900 mah power
there fore those who are using this hub without power supply and blaming it are idiots
2nd of all the actual speed of transferring data in usb 2.0 devices varies from 4MB/s to 33MB/s where as in Usb 3.0 device the deta transfer speed Varies from 30MB/s to 150MB/s
so what is extra in USB 3.0 IT has extra 5 pins which increases it's speed means in usb 2.0 you are getting 4 pin and usb 3.0 you are getting 9 pins but but but all usb 3.0 devices are back ward compactable with usb 2.0 an usb 1.1 devices
and it doesn't mean it will increase your usb 2.0 devices speed so plz don't blame it
the only problem i found the usb 3.0 cable provided by the company is too small
Very good USB 3.0 Hub
By Exp10r3ron
I bought this to expand my Raspberry Pi's USB slots to accommodate my USB 3.0 Seagate external drive and it does this perfectly.
I have been using 2 USB 3.0 powered HDD's (1TB and 2TB) on my RaspberryPi with the help of this Hub and it works flawlessly.
You can't power your Raspberry Pi from this Hub itself though, since These USB3 hubs give more power than the Pi can take.
Hence an Ideal setup would be,
Power -> Raspberry Pi
Power adapter of Hub -> Hub
HDD -> Hub
Hub -> Pi
This hub also double's up as an extension to my desktop. While connected to the desktop (or a laptop), there is no need to connect the adapter, it will power itself from the Desktop HUB itself.
All in all, an excellent product, although I wish the Price would be a tidbit lower. (Bought it for 1729 on 30th Dec)
Good

This one transforms my Dell venue 8 pro tablet to the level of Mini PC.
Its working with my usb mouse, usb keyboard, pendrive and even hard drive (which was previously not working) all at same time. Amazing.
The quality of the product could have been better.
good product. Works as expected
By Syam kon
I use this to connect my JTAG debugger, 1 serial terminal, an external HDD and USB sound card. With the external power supply, i can run all the devices simultaneously. LED indicators indicate if any of the connected USB device is not initialized/enumerated.
A note to all. This is a USB port expander and will not convert a USB2 port to a USB 3 port.
Unstable, USB devices disappear from the device tree often
By Kiran Jonnalagaddaon
If you have a computer with USB 2.0, DO NOT use this hub. USB 3.0 is supposed to be backward compatible, but I found this hub unstable on a USB 2.0 computer. Devices would randomly disappear from the device tree every few minutes.
