It's great at its price point, and the midnight black adds another great dimension to it, looks wise. I am satisfied with it so far, in terms of performance, battery life, etc. The phone has a smooth metal back so it tends to be a bit slippery, but my package came with an anti-slip silicone back cover which helps a lot with the grip. I can even use it with one hand without fear of slippage.The criticism I have for this phone is that it sometimes tends to heat up a lot while using or charging, and sometimes the battery drains too quickly. What seems to be happening is that sometimes an app will become active (I don't know the correct jargon for it) and that is what will cause either of these things. Just kill the app, even if its the phone app, and the problem will go away. But Oneplus need to patch this, though.Another criticism is the seller. Seller refused to provide a signed and company-stamped invoice when I requested it (first time ever that an online seller of electronic items refused me this, across all e-sellers), and not only that, he afterwards proceeded to teach me how e-commerce works, like this is my first time buying anything online. As you can see from attached pics, the invoice that came with the package was wrinkled and torn, and the print ink was smudged. He did not even bother to pack it in a cardboard box. It came in a plastic bag that was 3 times the size of the phone (see pics). As a result, the box for the phone was dented and damaged in transit (see pics). Amazon should not be making such irresponsible, rude and arrogant sellers responsible for Amazon Exclusive items, especially high-priced ones. It will eat into their reputation.

I bought this device on may. Till last week there was no issues. Everything was perfect. Now it has touch screen issues. An small rectanglur area cannot sense touch. Same issue i seen people posted in one plus community. Cannot find any solution for this. Service centers are far away from my city. Now the price of the device is also decreased .Update : i got replaced my camera (had a focus issue)and touchscreen from authorised oneplus sercive center under the warrenty.Now my phone works perfectly. I had been using this for an year and half. It had been dropped countless times and been submerged in water, sea water. It still holds good and surprisingly as fast as it used to be when it was new.The oxygen os is awesome compared to other Chinese skins. It don't slow the device down and gets regular updates so far, though one plus has no published update schedule.The only issue I face after an year is the back camera focus. It seems it's a common problem with one plus phones that the magnet for camera looses contact. I was using a work around with external fridge magnets for a while now. Otherwise build quality is top notch.

I wish I could give a 5 stars for this... This is a beast with amazing specs which u can read through in all the reviews. However it's not been a month, I have started seeing issues with touchscreen responsiveness!! Sme of the right bottom of the display screen is behaving so weird that I need to press very hard on the keypad to input. This is becoming so frustrating and am not sure if it's just a software issue which can be fixed by factory reset or need a hardware repair!! In any case I'm very disappointed that I have to go through all this so soon!!Update (Oct 19): It seems like the touchscreen issue was with the combination of 'Spigen cover' + 'Screen-guard'. The screen worked perfectly with the screen-guard when I took out just the Spigen cover. So I thought the issue was with Spigen cover. However to dig further i peeled off the screen guard i had put and replaced the Spigen cover back. It worked perfectly again. So, it looks like there's something wrong when I'm using both. Very strange issue but am happy that it got resolved before I had to visit the service center.I'm now giving back this phone 5 STARS!! Everything from the RAM, screen, Latest android updates (Android Oreo Beta) is already out already, camera, various gesture features and awesome battery and dash charging!! and many more... Just for around 22k - 23k (including all the cashbacks, promo offers etc) is simply a DELIGHT to anyone!!
