This android laptop is awesome!

Initially I wanted to buy a small laptop based on windows. Then I stumbled upon this Slatebook, a laptop/tablet, based on android. And boy, what a device!
Pros: Good build quality, sleek design, detachable keyboard, so you get the twin benefit of laptop when you are working and tablet when you want to have fun.
The screen, which is quite responsive, has a HD resolution with IPS display and i found it sufficiently bright contrary to some reviews I read online. The android platform makes the device quite versatile, you can access hundreds of high quality apps/games and mostly for free. Here, this device beats a normal laptop by far. Also, if you have an android phone, you can expect better sync and easy data sharing between your gadgets.
The keyboard is not just sturdy but thoughtful too. They have put quite a few android-friendly keys, rather than just repeating a normal keyboard made for PC.
It comes with 64 gb internal memory and you can expand it by using the given 2 SD slots with capacities: 32 gb and 64 gb. So in total you can have a space of 160 gb - quite enough for a normal usage.
The battery backup is quite good, it lasts you around 8-9 hours. The smart thing they have done is, the device is programmed to consume the keyboard battery first, so when you detach the tablet, it still has full, unconsumed tablet battery intact. So quite portable if you compare it to a regular laptop.
The Tegra processor is responsive too and supposedly good for gaming, though I haven't explored enough games.
Cons: it's bit heavy as a laptop at 1.24 kg. But bearable as a tablet, at round .6 kg. No MS office suite, though they have provided KingSoft, which lets you save file in .docx format. Overall, if you have used windows comps all your life, it will take some getting used to, to figure your way around inside this android laptop.
Overall: A value for money product ( Snapdeal offered me the best price). The white color looks quite classy, it has matte finish. Highly recommended if you are buying a laptop to do basic jobs, such as to use office suite, read pdfs, watch movies etc.
Selected this product after going through numerous reviews and videos and I must say, I could not have made a better purchase.

Actually, this is exactly something I was looking for. Having evaluated a few other options like A10 etc. I wasn't fully convinced if Android on a Laptop/Notebook would be a good idea (with their small build-in storage and 1GB RAM etc)
Also I didn't want to go for just another Tab as I had been using Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for over 2 years now.
The Hybrid (HP Slatebook X2) is exactly what I had been looking for. Tab when you want it to be a Tab and PC when you need a PC like experience.

very well calibrated product. Design is excellent as it provides both a detachable tablet and keyboard port with its own battery and storage ports. Keyboard has an hdmi usb and card slot & sound port - tablet has a card slot and audio. Would have been nice to have a micro usb on the tablet for connectivity. I bought it to use with my cameras - however the keyboard acts as a stand and cover as well. Screen is excellent. There were some reviews I read about screen not being upto the level. I find the screen just right with the anti glare instead of glossy over lit - contrast screens. I use it indoors at less than half the brightness. I work as a visual professional. It is excellent for reading and writing. Hardware works without issue. Software-wise file explorer is ergonomic - can mount the camera card for excellent display and without downloading.

15 days over for purchase, no issue. Thanks for quick delivery system. Received 10days before. User friendly and convenient to handle. Screen is very nice and cool. Do not support MS OFFICE. Physical Keyboard do not work on tab mode ie no wireless connectivity for keyboard.

Fantastic product. I bought this for my father who is 65yrs old and doesn't feel comfortable using gadgets. I was apprehensive but he is feeling comfortable to use it - controls are simple and easy to use. Android makes life even further easier. I recommend this product and since it fulfills the purpose I intended for, yet to find any defective reasons to comment about it.

Purchased this Oct 13 and here are my pros & cons based on my usage.
Pros:
- Good screen size
- Sleek & Light (without keyboard attachment)
- USB, SD/Micro SD slots
- Double battery
Cons:
- Tab gets heated-up in the bottom left corner when playing games. Surprisingly, even games like Candy Crush causes this.
- Custom charger with a bit bulky adapter. It is like a laptop charger and too awkward to carry.
- Supports only Bluetooth/Wireless for connectivity. If you have UBS dongle(CDMA/3G), you would not be able to connect since all "Mobile Networks" configuration menus are removed.
- Battery inside the keyboard attachment drains quickly. When not using, keyboard discharges about 20-25% over night.
- Display is of a bit poor quality. My screen dims and brightens all by itself. More evident and annoying when reading a book.
- No PC suite.
Overall, it is really not worth the money with out any offers. With Diwali offer, I got following:
1. Phillips headphone from flipkart
2. 4000 worth HP accessories (Yet to be received)
3. 10% cash back from Standard Charted(Yet to be received)
4. Additional 2 years onsite warranty from HP(Yet to be received)
5. Norton Antivirus 1 year subscription worth 1399 from HP(Yet to be received)
6. Free 15 Inch Laptop backpack from HP.
Spend wisely.

Beware of offers from HP. I am yet to receive the free gifts worth 4000. Its been 120 days now and they are still requesting another 30 days. First three commitments were not homered and I believe they are not going to keep-up the fourth as well.
Don't say nobody warned you before the purchase. :)
Nice combination of tablet and ultrabook

For:
- Fast response time: Tegra4 is doing its best even if multiple apps are working at the same time. Not tried too many games as I am not much into games.
- Nice 10' display: Good IPS display for night and bright light
- Android 4.3 - HP gives android update with 4.3 with extra features like controlling speed vs. battery life and others. Not many bloats from HP and can be disabled from app setting if not wanted
- Battery: Nice battery life. Full day regular usage with wifi on and watching movies. Nice concept of keep recharging tablet if docked. So whenever you undock it, you will get max juice in tab
- Dock: nice responsive keyboard, with good trackpad
Against:
- Not much. Just that screen could have been fingerprint resistant. But with this price, this can be ignored.
Satisfaction: Very high
Value for money:: Very good
Recommended: Highly. Ideal for those who are working in the field and would need 30-40 mins of typing at the end of the day.
