This comes with 4 core 8th gen i5 and and a San disk SSD running on m
2 slot. it is great for its price, cool and quiet.
comes with a fast charging battery as well.
we an free ram slot. 2 year warranty is cherry on top.
Cons:
SSD performance is average with max read speed at 500mbps
fall creators update is not installed and takes time.
finger print scanner doesn't recognize finger some times and have to move around.
if I was given a choice, I would buy this one again.
Highly recommended for thin and light requirements

Bought this laptop with MRP of --K at --K after flipkart discount and availing exchange offer.
Really lightweight laptop but performace of laptop is very good due to i5 8th gen CPU, 8GB RAM and SSD disk.
Though the laptop is sold with Windows-10, I have installed Linux (Kubuntu 18.04) . Installation is smooth, all hardware is recognised and works well. Except for some problems with wifi chip (ath10k)
Battery easily lasts 4-6hrs (even when some virtual machines are running) 2-year warranty is nice too.
Some small issues: HDD 1TB is not easy to remove, will have to remove entire back cover ( hence did not try). A laptop with just SSD is more portable than a mechanical disk.
Screen is very bright and sharp. Full HD screen. On linux, need to adjust (scale up) all fonts. Else completely unreadable.
Highly recommend this laptop if your main requirement is speedy performance, good screen/keyboard and thin / lightweight / mobility

It is a good laptop with great Hardware, but loses out in multimedia like Speaker sound, web cam and a not up to mark Display..having said the above, the price tag which this is offered is a steal for i5 8th gen, 128 ssd , 1tb HDD with 8 GB ram..similar sort in Dell would cost u around 80k..battery charges fast in 1 hr 45 mins from 12% to 100%..charge withholds for 8-9 hours of casual use..over all a good buy...i got this for 39.5k after exchange of my old i5 laptop and 1500 cash back from HDFC..happy with the laptop..
Did not meet expectations

Problem with the speakers.. too low volume and it distorts when u push it to max (even max volume is to low).. yesterday, I realised even battery draining pretty quickly. charged the laptop to 87%, unplugged it and played a movie on net (no other program or background job I was running) and in just 1nhalf hour battery down to 9% (shocked to see that, my 5 year old laptop still runs for 2hours seemlessly). Unable to connect to FTP server and Bluetooth connection is literally a mess (took almost 1 day to transfer 280MB). Even WiFi data pull or push is not so good. Even horrible, sometimes to open Windows file explorer, it takes more than 3-4 seconds (happening erratically, once in a while). I don't know if all these issues exists only with the piece I received. I was very much disappointed with the experience. Never happened to me b4 with Flipkart. I usually don't write reviews, but the pain pushed me to do so. No big application or software I have installed and I was just testing basic functions and it failed big time. I felt really bad. Adding salt to the wound, "No return, only replace" on this. Requested for a replacement and would definitely modify this review, if the replaced product atleast works.

I have been keeping an eye on it since long time
Finally bought it
Pros
Light weight
Ssd is awesome ( fast startup in just minutes)
Windows hello helps me get into the computer in less than a second
Display is pretty awesome
The touchpad is good as well
Fast charging was one of the feautures i was looking for
And many more pros of it
Cons
Sound is not so good did not satisfy me hence lost one star for it
No backlight keyboard
Irritating asus preinstalled applications
Windows updates took 1 day to install , since it were struck hence ran windows update troubleshooter and fixed it
Despite of all the cons i really liked this laptop. Will monitor it for few more days and update about it

I got this laptop on 26th February 2017
Delivery was slow. Took 3 days to get to Delhi.. I shouldn't.. If it's taking 3 days for Delhi.. God knows how many days it's going to take for other towns... The box was a little damaged.. Package was hardly there.. A flimsy cardboard with one sheet of bubblewrap. That being said, the main laptop box was a little dinged up from one corner.. other than that it was pristine..
Let's get to reviewing this.. shall we..
I upgraded from a 6 year old Dell inspiron.. also a 14 inch laptop. The i3 2nd gen was not enough now for my needs, which include a good amount of photoshop and lightroom and a bit of video editting, with some light gaming.. Older titles from 2012-2015.
I did a lot of research in the past month or so, and was going to import the Xiaomi mi notebook air (or pro).. or huawei matebook x.. both of which were not available.. but even with import duties, would have costed around Rs. 60000 or so... And let me be honest, Vivobook is not as good looking as the other two notebooks mentioned.. But moving on..
Pros
*HDD+SSD- To anyone out there reading this review looking to buy any laptop in near future, NEVER BUY A COMPUTER WITHOUT AN SSD. EVER. Moving on, I didn't do any benchmarks, but the disk felt fast to me. Transfers, read and writes were decent, it's not the m.2 NVme kind, It's a sata drive, but no dealbreaker in my opinion. Use your HDD drive for media and files.. Use SSD drive for Apps and you're going to be blown away by the performance..
*Looks, build- The laptop looks nice, has a premium metallic finish to it, but it's not metal. It's just good grade plastic.. And I dont see how that's a problem.. at least for me.. If it looks great and it's functionally good.. Why would you cry for a metal body..
*Display- It has small bezels and it looks sufficiently sharp... It's Full HD.. It seems a bit lacking in brightness.. But I don't use it outdoors so I dont care.. It still seems sufficiently usable..
*Keyboard- It wasn't backlit out off the box, and i couldn't find the backlighting controls, so I thought it didnt exist.. I found it later and can confirm, it exists and has 4 brightness levels. The arrow keys are kind of small though.
*Battery life- Battery life seems decent too. Nothing extraordinary.. It lasted long as it is just 2 days, i dont exactly have accurate numbers.. It charges at a decent rate too. Cant say that its slow..
*Performance - Performance is absolutely top notch.. Latest gen processors, good amount of ram, no slowdowns, no problems.. A very fast fingerprint scanner too..
*Cost and alternatives- There is the i3 vivobook, the cheaper model, you can go for that.. It's obviously a better value for money than this model.. It was out of stock at the time of me ordering one.. So I got this one... I got it in the launch offer with Rs. 10000 discount.. i.e. @ Rs54490. And at that price, i couldn't find a better alternative than this..
Although at around it's MRP of 65000. There are various options, Dell XPS and HP 360 etc.. You can look around.. I would not recomend buying this laptop above 62000.
Cons-
Apart from the already mentioned ones.. The build quality is about average.. the track pad is average.. And speakers are the absolute worse.. Like.. I don't think I have heard worse sounding speaker in my entire life... I mean they sound ok when they do.. It absolutely has no volume... Even in a room full of 5 people.. you're probably not going to hear it.
The display could've been a touch.. But touch screens at this price are generally bad quality, so it's not that big of a dealbreaker.
Verdict
You can find better laptops at the MRP, at rs55000 though, there isn't any.. at this price ou can't find a better laptop.. spec-to-spec, the best. Although if I'd be looking to spend 65000, i'd much rather like a dedicated graphic card, at least a nvidia mx150..
