Sheep(Acer ET271) in Wolf's Clothing(XB271HU listing)
By Sohon
**Specific Features of the product -* The product I got was Acer ET271, while the listing mentions Acer Predator XB271HU(which I thought I was buying)* This monitor Acer ET271 is Full HD(1920x1080) resolution while XB271HU is WQHD(2560 x 1440)* The monitor that you get(Acer ET271) has got a PLS panel while the one that you and I want is IPS which is available in XB271HU(which you will not get)* The monitor that you get here(Acer ET271) has a Refresh rate of 60Hz, while the one you and I are looking for is 144Hz-available in Xb271HU(which you will not get)* The monitor that you get here(Acer ET271) has only one HDMI and one D-SUB or DVI port. Good for those still living in 2010s. While the one you and I are looking for is Display Port 1.2-available in the XB271HU(which you will not get)*I can go on about the aesthetics of Acer ET271(which you get here instead of the XB271HU) which are from 10 years ago.**My Experience with it -*Well, its nothing short of pathetic and of utter disappointment.*Imagine you completed your gaming build and are waiting for a gaming monitor like XB271HU (which you think you are ordering here) to complement that rig, and when the box finally arrives with the invoice mentioning XB271HU and gets you excited. You open the box and find a cheap and underspec monitor Acer ET271 inside, with MRP of Rs.18,500/-only, when you paid close to Rs.60,000 for what you thought you were ordering(XB271HU).*My build project got delayed by a few weeks now as I am now waiting for a reverse pickup and then, after they receive it in their warehouse in 4-5 days, they refund in a week after receiving it.*And only then I get my funds to buy a new monitor.Way to go seller(Gadgets_Guru) and thanks a lot for the headache and mental stress amazon!
2K, 144 h, G-sync monster! Enough said...
By Jagdish Shenoyon
Heck of a monitor! I was on a 1080p, 59 hz monitor. I upgraded to this and it made a huge difference. G-sync is awesome! I don't see any screen tearing at all. You need a good graphics card to pair up with this and you are set for the next 2- 3 years at least.
Pretty good

One of the best IPS G-Sync 1440p 144hz panel. Been using it for over a month now. Has a thin bezel less design which looks very nice. OSD is sure not that user friendly but how often do you even use them anyway. I've used it just once since purchase to calibrate colour settings to my liking that's it haven't had the need to touch it since. Also has 4 x USB port's which come in very handy for flash drives or portable USB devices.Let's talk about the stand. It has a very aggressive gamer look but of course predators are aggressive I guess? Personally I'm not a fan. It takes a lot of desk space. But fret not if you don't like it your problem can be easily solved since the monitor is also VESA compatible using a vesa arm/mount which will still be better to purchase than Asus PG279Q as that thing is overpriced here. It does have a headphone stand on top of the stand. All panels of these exact specifications are made by AUO so there's not really much to compare there and the specifications itself are pretty much self explanatory.I know a lot of people look at G-sync as being unnecessary. It sure is a glorified FreeSync with additional premium price tag that locks into nVidia's ecosystem. But the price to performance GPU in India for AMD is so much worse than it is for Nvidia it was kind of better to get a g-sync panel with a 1070 than buy a Vega 56 with an equivalent FreeSync monitor. There are issues of Backlight bleed with these panels. Mind you the panels are made by AUO and not Acer or Asus, so you can't really compare one to the other on anything besides the design/USB passthrough's. There is however a very common issue of pixel displacement from the middle to the either side of the panel which can be permanently fixed by going to an Acer repair centre or temporarily by restarting the monitor. I have still given it 5 stars just because it's pretty much irrelevant if it happens maybe once in 2 weeks. Please do some research before buying. Things on Amazon may or may not be priced higher than other online retailers dedicated to PC hardware.
