which is best to have in AC

I wanted to purchase a Window AC for my kids room, and was looking to buy it online, one of my motivation was to get the AC as cheap as possible while not sacrificing quality much. Now since this AC will be used mostly only during the night hence I was not looking for 5 Star rated AC, since the cost would have gone much up and from my experience of both 3 & 5 Star rated ACs savings are only in the range of Rs. 200-Rs. 300. This same model in 5 Star costs Rs. 28500 which is almost Rs. 5000 more than what I paid for this model. So it would have taken more than a few years to recover the difference.NOTE:@ Max Power consumption is rated at 1752 Watt compared to 1540 Watt of 5 star Rated model of same product. 3/5 star Split ACs are in the same range as well Power Consumption wise.@ This means if you use 5 star model for 5-6 hours daily, then you will save approx. Rs.300 monthly compared to 3 star rated model.@ 5 star model costs Rs. 5000 more than this.Pros:1) Product is 3 star rated which is decently efficient as well as Budget friendly.2) Coil is Copper, which is best to have in AC.3) Compressor is rotary.4) AC is comparatively silent than the claimed 56 dBA but I believe this might be owing to Installation skills as well, :) (In this case, I did it, I am a hobbyist, so have all the tools and skills to do the installation)5) Cooling is pretty efficient and does not take more than a few minutes to cool the whole room.Cons:1) Refrigerant used is R-22, which is HCFC and causes Ozone Depletion. However is very readily available for refilling.2) Service?3) Brand Name?ACs are meant for cooling which this particular AC is doing sufficiently well. However its the service which keeps an AC in top functioning order, so will update this review as soon as I deal with Voltas service department in a few months.Thank You for reading this review.

A.C. is good and perfect... But customer service of voltas is late... Every time they pick up your phone understand your problem and also give you complain number then nothing happen just you receive message that your complaint has resolved on phone same thing happen again n again... No technician visits or nor call... After my installation very next day I found problem that my AC remote's all function is not working and I have complained same day but after that today is day 4 and still I am waiting for issue to be resolve no technician has visited..I have also called Amazon service center and they also not willing to help in fact they advised me that please find voltas service center near your area go there and give him complain personally. I just wanted to tell Amazon that we also have good supermarket and brand store near our area why should we go for online purchase from you....

Writing the review after using the AC for one week.The installation guy came the next day of delivery. Upon installation when the AC was started, the installation guy realized that the fan of the AC is jammed probably due to improper handling of the AC before delivery. He immediately recommended to call the voltas helpline and register a complain.Voltas guy came the next day and took almost hour to fix the fan. Once this was done the AC was working fine and is still working so. The cooling is quick and the AC is powerful. Noise level is similar to all ACs I have encountered.Overall, after initial hiccups its a good buy.

a/c good no complaints. price is also good. gave it a 4 star only because of the installation process. The installation person called 4 days after delivery and said he will take another 3 days to install. I had it installed by a private mechanic instead.

Its Coooll..initially i was sceptical about purchasing since I saw many negative reviews.. But things for me has been smooth. Got delivered with 3days..Voltas technician came same day and was very active and trained. AC working fine.. cooling is excellent.. Little bit noisy but not much to interfere your sleep. However more feedback can be provided only after some serious use. Hopefully will not be disappointed. Good Job Amazon and Voltas.!!

NEVER BUY BIG APPLIANCES FROM FLIPKART
I would really like to tell you how this AC is but, I can't. Here is what I can tell you.
- The AC got delivered a day after it was initially promised because the delivery guy wanted to go home that evening.
- If I install the AC with my local electrician's help my 10 Day replacement warranty will be void. So I must wait for the authorised installation guys.
- The installation guys (JEEVES) sent me an SMS saying they couldn't reach me. When I called their customer care they promised a call back. I did this for three days... Never got a call back. Despite providing them an alternate number.
- I finally complained to Flipkart customer care and they promised to get the installation done... Within THE NEXT 4-5 days.
- It's been 2 days and no one has showed up.
Lesson:
NEVER BUY BIG APPLIANCES FROM FLIPKART

The AC is good. But i got to know from the voltas extended warranty team that if you buy from flipkart or E-retailer you will not get free extended warranty of 4 years however if you buy from local dealer you will get it very disappointing.
