I bought Morphy Richards thinking its an old British company. The Plates are held together by PLASTIC locks which ofcourse melted when they got heated up, and the plates would fall or stick to the sandwich...Threw it in the dustbin after four months of purchase and bought a Sunflame product, much cheaper and with METAL hooks in interchangeable plates as interchangable are easy to clean too and the metal hooks wouldnt melt

I bought this product from near by retail store (not from Flipkart as usual). It was a spot purchase for which I didn't do any background check and review reading on internet (flipkart). I bought it at almost same price Rs 3000/- After bringing it hope I found that there are many bad reviews on flipkart about this product. Like grill plates doesn't work, plastic hooks melts, useless, etc I got worried and called the retail store which assured me about the quality of Morphy Richards products. Also, it comes with 2yr guaranty hence if the plastic hooks melts (as commented by others) then the hooks will be replaced(not repaired as in warranty case) by the company. But, if you use metal spoon or knife with grill and sandwich plates, definitely the coating will come of soon. It is not recommended to use metal spoon/knife with any non stick cookware. Seriously, why will Morphy Richards come up with a product with such a big flaw like plastic hooks melt. These products pass quality test before reaching us. And above all the guaranty is there for 2yrs. I used the product for 2-3 times and found no issue till now. I consumes very less oil/butter for making sandwiches. The grill plate makes awesome crispy sandwiches. Time taken for making 2 sandwich at a time is around 3-4mins which is quite good. I would recommend this product to every one. Even though if plastic hooks melts, you have 2yrs guaranty of damaged parts replacement. It gives good value for money.
