Liked the thrill of One-day Delivery!Little disappointed that I missed the Deal of 550/- but could manage for 690 + oneday delivery charge.Product is a very easy-to-setup one. Just had to connect the network cable to the laptop and the Internet service provider outlet to the Router. Netgear provides a wizard which works like a Geenie and you literally don't have to do much. Only thing that I did is that I personalized the User Name and Password.Data Transfer rate is little less as compared to my old D-Link DIR-300 and has 2 network slots as compared to the 5 in the D-link one. By the way, 150 is supposed to be the half of 300 and also opting a 2-slots one was solely my choice. So, for the specifications mentioned for this device, it is working as it must. The interesting part was the setting up of the device; was like a mom spoon-feeding her baby. With D-link you may feel like you are a nerdy technician once you get the set up done by your own or may be you need to call a real technician!All the Wifi devices detected without any hassles and in no time.Though a little premature, i would say "go for it"!

This product is not that bad but it size and range are not that good,From many of the reviews, I thought this product will be best suited for a house of G+2 but on terrace there is no range, just 1 bar is blinking.And size, woa it's smaller than Yureka, believe me.But it's recommended for for compact spaces.

This Router has worked fine for the first 6 months. After that, it started giving troubles with Wifi Signal and Internet connectivity. When ever there is a power outage, the router stops responding after the power comes back. Reset button has no use as well. I had to switch off the router for about 2 to 3 hours and then switch it back on to get it to work again. Placed a request by email with netgear support but the response came back after three days stating that I was not eligible for technical support after 90 days and they asked me to check with the non existing service centers. The service center address was no where to be found on their website. I tried calling them on their call centre number but after the call is transferred to technical support, I was put on hold for indefinite time. Worst customer care I have ever seen. I seriously suggest not to buy any Netgear Items for home purpose.

Great router for an apartment. I have a 2bhk and I've kept the router in the hall. The signal reaches me at every spot in the house so issues regarding that. Though there's been a confusion about the features it provides. In one of the uploaded images, it was shown that it supports push to connect. There's no button for that however. Doesn't really impact much, but could be useful for those who're looking for a router where they don't want to remember the password every time they connect a new device.

This router is one of the best routers below 1500 bucks. the other routers are Wireless G routers while this one is a Wireless N, which does increase the signal strength. Attached it to BSNL adsl(dataone) modem. to setup the modem easily, Don't connect the router right away, before that, keep the connection as it is(modem connected to PC), open the router setup page and ensure that all the connection types are Bridges. then proceed to connection of modem and router(via WAN,blue) and router to PC or laptop(via LAN,yellow). then open 10.0.0.1(set by default) and username and password are "admin" and "password" go to Internet tab from left( and set it up manually)> select "Yes: Does your Internet connection require a login?">Internet Service Provider:PPPOE>ur username and password>Connection name: dataone>Connection Mode:Always on>Internet IP address and DNS : Get Dynamically From ISP>Router MAC Address: default address then it might happen that there will be connection time outs and/or DNS server errors to rectify it: Go to Advanced TaB>Setup>WAN Setup>MTU Size(in bytes):set it to 1482 It will work fine now. for blocking porn and adult websites go to Parental Controls> it will download a ZIP file containing a Installer(Netgear management Utility)> which might not install due to unavailability of a Microsoft Module(netfx64)> search it on google and download it from Microsoft website and install it thereafter install the Management Utility. Now open the Management Utility and create an account, and you are ready to go with the parental controls! :) no need to mention blocking websites in blocked websites in router setup page( it will lead to abnormal blocking of many websites). enjoy the awesome product!

Its a nice router under 1500. Setup may become a little messy if your modem and router have the same ip address which in my case was. The solution of this problem was to change the ip of either one of the devices. I also contacted the support for the resolution of the problem and they gave me the following go-through steps to resolve this issue: Step 1: Physical Connection 1. The router has 5 ports out of which 4 ports [LAN ports] are together and one port [Internet port] is isolated, please connect your modem to the isolated port and connect the computer to any one of the four ports. 2. Make sure there is no connection between the MODEM and COMPUTER through USB cable. 3. If there is a USB connection then remove the USB cable from the Modem end. Step 2: Resetting the Router 1. Make sure that the router is turned on while resetting the router. 2. Reset your router by holding down the reset button for 60 seconds with a paper clip, which you can find in the back of the router near the isolated port. Step 3: Router Configuration Please follow these steps to change the IP address of the router: 1. Disconnect the DSL Modem from the Router. 2. Open the browser Internet Explorer or Netscape and Please try to access the router configuration page using one of the following options: 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1 or By default, the username is "admin" and the password is "password". 3. In Basic settings, Select NO for "Does your Internet require a login?" and click APPLY. 4. Go to LAN IP SETUP, Change the LAN TCP/IP address to 192.168.10.1 then change the starting IP address to 192.168.10.2 and Ending IP address to 192.168.10.51. Click APPLY and wait till you get a message "Page cannot be displayed". 5. Then unplug the power cable from the router. 6. Connect your DSL Modem Back to the Internet port the isolated port of the router then connect the Power cable to the Router. Power cycle the router. By Turning Off/ON Modem and Router, Restarting Computer. Step 4: ISP Configuration 1. Access the web-based setup page usually 2. Click 'setup wizard’ at the top of list from left menu. 3. Select yes and Click next. 4. In case you get the message: 'You already have a valid Internet connection do you still want to continue', click 'YES'. 5. It should give you a “Dynamic IP Detected" or "PPPoE Detected go to step 7 " and then click next 6. if you get "" Dynamic IP Detected " then click apply and after updating settings Select "Basic settings" Does your internet connection A login " select "NO" and click apply. 7. Then under login and password type in your login/password for your DSL account the user name should be full like username@isp.net, IDLETIMEOUT should be " Zero" and click Apply. The First piece I received was faulty but flipkart was kind enough to replace it. But the replacement was also faulty so I was very angry and demanded a refund instead of a replacement because I was very disappointed in the service and was hoping to buy another product, but flipkart refused to provide a refund and now I am stuck with a router which does not work.

THE PERSON WHO BROUGHT IT GAVE IT TO MY APARTMENT WATCHMEN AND LEFT MAKING A CALL "I GAVE IT TO WATCHMEN AND HE SIGNED IT " THAT TO WHEN I AM AT HOME. THIS IS TOO BAD OUR WATCH MEN IS ALWAYS BUSY AND ANY ONE MAY TAKE IT AWAY IN SOME BUSY TIME. THIS IS SO BAD.

I recently got this product for my relatives. I am already using a netgear product and have had no issues with it, so decided to buy this. The added advantages being, a. less than 1000Rs, b. very small in dimensions c. Sufficient range and reach Flipkart as usual made a very quick delivery, within 48 hours. I continue to be impressed by their promptness and hassle free product delivery. I had a very tough time configuring this. The configuration requires accessing the router page via www.routerlogin.net. This would not work at all. using 192.168.1.1 didnt work either. I tried using various online forums, but with not much progress. The problem was that for some reason the default gateway had taken up ip of 10.0.0.1 instead of 192.168.1.1 If tried to configure it via 10.0.0.1, the configuration pages were not accessible. After trying several things, including factory reset. I finally gave up after 2 hours, and called up netgear customer care. The customer care person, made me do all the things which I had already tried for first 30 minutes. Finally he had this weird suggestion, a. remove ISP connector b. to press the reset button, while pressing the reset button, remove and plugin power cable 3 times. c. after the third time, switch off the router d, wait for 20 seconds e. restart the laptop f. restart the router. This worked, and it got 192.168.1.1 address, and the configuration went fine. All this took about an hour more. In all extremely cumbersome to troubleshoot the configuration issues. The product finally worked, and has been good so far

My previous router was terrible (Edimax), if anyone in the house used torrents, then no one else in the house has no access the internet even though we had a 10mbps connection. But this one is brilliant. I put it through a very decent stress test, and it passed with flying colours! Pros: 1. Performs excellent when lot of connections and data transfer are involved. 2. Very tiny. Includes a vertical mount too. (The picture shown seems outdated) 3. Has a ton of features -- includes QoS (you can set priority for gaming etc..) 4. Has even more tons of features ( like traffic control, remote management, net filter ) 5. Cheap 6. Has a good range (even though it does not include the antenna as shown in the picture) Cons: None. For this price - its perfect.

It works very fine. Haven't yet tested the range. If you have a modem that converts your phone line to enable internet access and your modem's IP happens to match with the WNR612's IP, then the setup gets a little complex. First connect your directly to your system (without using WNR612), go to run > cmd> In CMD window, type "ipconfig/all" without quotes. note down the Default Gateway address. Now disconnect your previous modem, place it aside, and connect only the WNR612 to your system and power it on. (Connect it from first LAN port (Yellow port) to system, without providing input from your old ISP modem to Blue Port of WNR612) wait for a minute and now press the reset button for about 30 seconds (while connected and powered on) Leave for a minute, then power off the WNR612 and power on again. Again after a minute, go to CMD and type "ipconfig/all" without quotes. note down default gateway. fire up browser and type in the default gateway address. If the default gateway happens to be same as your previous modem, you can now change it here. default ID: admin Password: password the address would probably be of the format 192.168.xx.yy or 192.168.x.y Change the value in the position of xx or x from the above examples, to differ from that of your old ISP Modem to do that, follow these steps: Advanced> Setup> Internet Setup> Internet IP Address> Gateway IP Address Change the value in the third box of Gateway IP Address from 1 to 0 or 1 to 2 or so on. now apply the settings. Note down the new Gateway IP Address that you just entered. you may have to type the password again. then, go to Advanced> Administration> Set Password> Change the default password from "password" to something else that you can remember, so that no one else who may be connected to your device via wifi may access the settings. Viola! You just set a new Router password.All done!. Now power off the WNR612 and unplug all wires, connect the Internet ( Cat 5) cable from your ISP Modem to WAN port (blue) of WNR612, and another Cat 5 (given with WNR612) from LAN 1 (Yellow port) to your system. Power on only your ISP modem, wait till all lights are stable, now power on router WNR612. Open the browser, and you must be able to browse all sites perfectly. Remember, WIFI ID and password are different from Router ID and password. To setup WIFI access and change WIFI ID and password, type in the changed Gateway IP address that you noted down, in the browser address bar, and use the changed password. Advanced> Setup> Wireless Setup> Wireless Network Change the SSID if you wish to, or, to just change the password, Security Options ( Row below SSID) select "WPA-PSK[TKIP]+WPA2-PSK[AES]" as security type and give new password in the next row that says Pass phrase.

Hi Guyz, Let me tell you Something, I read reviews that the Wi fi range covers only 2-3 rooms.It is Not SO.IT is an awesome product.i stay in a 3 storeyed house at CHandannagar , West bengal.It covers my roof , garage, kitchen balcony everywhere.Password protected secure Connection.JUst call up Netgear upon delivery of the product and they will easily help you set up the connection.even my neighbour (a hottie ) connects to my network at Night and we video chat .LOL. GO FOR IT
