Almost perfect Alfa Card for WiFi pentesting. Alfa chooses atheros chipset 9271, correct me if I'm wrong. This chipset has cfg80211 driver ath9k_htc which is already patched for monitoring and injection purpose. Hence there is no need to install external drivers. Just plug and play business (kali, BT, Ubuntu, Windows etc) . In addition to this, this card really works fine with VMware environment. I faced some difficulties while making it work on VirtualBox env and left that. Anyways, the only real limitation of this card is lack of 5Ghz support. For 5Ghz AP you need to move to some different card.Those who wanted to appear for OSWP should definitely go ahead and buy this one, as I bought this one only for practice. I did not find any issue with this, as far as lab is considered.

WIFI NICs have two parts - a receiver and a transmitter. A good device should receive very weak signals and transmit at high power. However transmission at high power means that you can get severe radiation sickness at close ranges of even two meters. Install this device at least 3 meters away from any living object.
