It is not a fancy grill but a simple machine with basic element in center and rotating skewers around it. Built quality is average and skewers and bowels are not made of best stainless steel. I think the lack of temperature control is a big disadvantage here because a good tikka needs to be grilled a low temperature. But in this grill the the heating element becomes super hot in a matter of minute. If you use the casing or cover it burns your chicken.Let me rather share review of different things I tried to roast with this grill. I tried making Roasted Potatoes, Paneer Tikka, Chicken Tikka and Chicken Seekh Kebab toasted with this grill.Roasted Potatoes: They came out fine but they didn't grill till the center, while the outer crust was soft. The potatoes that I used were the size of lemons, so they were not so big. If I cover the grill with the outer case, the outer crust would start to burn. Took about 20 minutes for potatoes to grill when not covered with the case.Paneer Tikka: The surface of paneer grilled well. I had also added some onions and they almost burned hard. All in all it was decent but nothing compared to a charcoal grill.Chicken Tikka: These came out the worse of all. I marinated for chicken for hours before putting them on skewers. The first time I covered with outer casing, the chicken pieces burnt at surface but was raw in the center. I had grilled them for just 15-20 minutes. Next time I didn't cover them and this time they cam out better but not even half decent, tikka was very dry and hard. Their color was muddy brown. Third time I kept the cover for first 5 minutes and then removed it, letting them grill for 15 minutes more. Tikka again came out very dry.Chicken Seekh Kebab: I grilled without the cover for 20 minutes and Kebabs grilled good. But once again not as good as those grilled in a charcoal grill.
