This is my first Macro lensI have used it indoor photography so far. I have bought it after seeing lot of online reviews and at good price offer from Amazon.Few point i have noticed so far: 1. Good looking lens.2. Images are very sharp and high quality but for macro with higher magnification at Manual focus a tripod is must.3 I donot know why Tamron has removed lens-hood from their Indian version when its available for there USA customers, this bias is not good for the image of company.Also US version is available with leather cover but here they are selling with cloth cover.

I tried this on my Sony alpha 58. This has been with me for two weeks now. The sharpness and clarity of the macro shots as well as normal shots are excellent. Thanks to Sony for building image stabilisation in camera which makes a lower cost non VC lens very effective.

When I read about the reviews and saw some videos on Youtube I was satisfied that I wouldn't go wrong. However I was still not jumping over with joy and a little skeptical about this lens, the speed and sharpness etc.But boy was I in for a huge surprise. This lens is quite fast (gets a little slow and hunts in low light) and I got some really nice shots handheld at ISO 400! and f7.1!The lens feels a little plasticy compared to say my 100-400 f 4.5-5.6 USM L series or even the Tokina 11-16mm that I have, but at no point did I feel it was cheap or flimsy.Overall I would say for someone wanting a Macro lens and not willing to shell down on the Canon, should definitely consider this! Really nice Lens

friends this is a excellent lens beyond my imagination. u would just love the lens.the colour depth,clarity,sharpness is just awesome recommend you to buy this lens with confidence.but friends dont purchase any item from ABC camera world (seller). i had ordered for tamron sp af 90mm macro for sony dslr. But they delivered me the same lens but was for Nikon. by which the lens didn't matched wit my camera. bcoz of which i suffered a lot.this seller dispatch anything without checking the detail about the product.and more over amazon ppl dont have a replacement policy. bcoz of which i suffered a lot.

It’s a well designed lens. Although the motor makes bit of noise. Performance is stable. Enough light enters the camera. The lens is pretty sharp if the ambient light is not very bright. Good buy for the price. It can definitely give serious competition (ocassionally outdo) to pricey lenses of similar specs from Nikon shelves.

The Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Macro Lens for Nikon DSLR is a very Good lens for the price. The sharpness is amazing and the bokeh is also good, which can also be used as a portrait lens. The deal price 22k offered by amazon was excellent compared to the market value.

I did so much research before buying this product. I'm happy that it lived up to the expectation. More than as macro lens I'm using this for capturing portraits under good lighting condition. For low light and macro shots tripod is mandatory. Overall I'm happy with this lens for the price paid.

Bought this lens a week back.Pros: Great SharpnessAutofocus works good. Out of the world bokhe at 1:1Cons:VERY noisy focus. Autofocus hunts in low light. A tripod is extremely Recommended. If you want great macro shots, use tripod and good flash.
