Good router..
By Manu Mon
If you are thinking of upgrading your router, netgear R6120 is worth considering,Changing a router does not actually increase the range, my isp (asianet) had given me a modem router which had good range and speed, but when we try to stream/screen mirror it lags,This one actually solves that issue..another router to consider at this price range is Archerc60, it has better wifi , but lacks gigabit port and usb port..
Unsatisfactory Range
By Anshuon
I bought this after deciding to upgrade my still strong Netgear JNR1010 router. It has been 6 months and the router is working okay.Pros:The installation was very easy. They have improved the wizard quite a lot. Updating the firmware was easy as well. The router is dual band meaning it works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. Easy to setup and use. The WiFi list on the mobile will list 2 separate entries.Speaking aesthetically it looks quite premium.Cons:Considering my 1BHK apartment, compared to my older cheap JNR1010 router it provides the same range which is disappointing. It comes with older USB 2.0 instead of Type C or at least USB 3.0.The Genie mobile app does not work at all for me.Overall if this was my first router I would have been happy but upgrading from my previous router, I did not notice any difference considering this is a comparatively expensive model.
Perfect router
By P Agarwalon
Bought this after my existing Zyxel/older generation Netgear router required constant rebooting to be functional. I use with ACT Fibernet 75 MBPS plan and post migrating to this router, I have had most stable and high speed connection. Initially I assumed that the issue was with ACT which turned out to be incorrect. Now I am getting better coverage in home (all corners), a lot better streaming and support for 10+ devices without any issues. 5 Ghz band is superb for HD streaming and audio - can see perceptible difference on my iPhone and laptop. Definitely worth the money for residential use - I would highly recommend it.
Low wifi signal range
By Rohiton
With the reviews and the Netgear advertising this model as having very good coverage of wifi signals, I was disappointed to see that the wifi signal range is no more than my old router of 2011. The router itself is good, and does support the 100 Mbps speed connection I have, that is a plus.Signal range is a bummer though, I had a Dlink DIR 825 which covers 2 more rooms than what this router is able to cover.
Ok, but easily skippable.

Overall, the connectivity is good. But if you have kids and want to use URL blocking, Access control and other types of filtering, they have really complicated the implementation by tying it up with OpenDNS filtering. You can't use any other DNS service if you want parental filtering. And However much I try, I can't block Youtube.Bad Implementation. Skip and search elsewhere.
