Pros : Camera is very good. Cannot compare with any other model in its price range.
Cons : If I restart , it takes 15-20 mins to boot.. something terribly wrong with the device. I have factory rest it.
Battery is not detachable hence you cant shutdown when the device hangs.. but I found a workaround in net ; long press 3 keys simultaneously (lock Volume Up Volume Down)

I love it! Best for selfie in the price range and okay for rear camera. Free Ram is just 555 MB. I am thinking of deleting unnecessary stuff. But it's smooth for surfing, video (you can save them for offline viewing) and sound is not bad.
Screen is larger than I thought. Selfie camera is tooooo good! Low-light images are awesome. My cousin's Moto G is nothing is front of this one also my brother's HTC Desire is nothing. Save money and get best features, with Micromax Canvas A255!
Flipkart addressed my concern of delivery antiques-(strangely second time both for mobile orders). Two-three years back I had ordered Karbonn S2 Titanium which was also delivered after antiques and now this one. But I'm happy that the customer service got in action and expressed regret for the bad behaviour of the courier service.
So, all is forgiven. Flipkart stays my favorite shopping hub. Hope this phone is as long lasting as my previous phones namely Karbonn S2 Titanium and Spice Cappucino. With god's grace both are still functioning perfectly while so-called branded phones of my cousins have died long time back. I wish that Micromax Canvas Selfie A255 doesn't disappoint me in terms of durability!! Verdict: Buy it!!

The front camera is pretty good coz the phone is all about selfies. The rear camera is extremely bad. The screen appears to be blue without any effect while taking a picture. I wouldn't suggest anyone to buy this!

So i just recieved this phone a few days back.. I myself read all the reviews and was confused whether this phone is good or no or does it serve well for us ..
But yeah i received it ..
The phone has a pretty good design with the premium look
Camera works perfectly fine
The autofocus in the front cam makes it better to click selfies ..
Gaming works perfectly yet some games crash like Mortal Kombat X and theres some minor lags in Gangstar Vegas and Dungeon Hunter 5 crashes too ... and i yet am waiting to know the reason why ..
Asphalt 8 and the rest work smoothly
So its said that the android can be upgraded to lollipop but there was an update to the software but it was yet On 4.4.2 Kitkat ..
I really am bugged with the charging and the battery ..
I connect the charger and my phone doesnt charge
Secondly the battery drains pretty quick .. So those who want a good battery back up check out some other phones too ..
Well just 7 days yet ... I doubt if the sim slots gonna go down .. cause theres some problem with the network and the sim and stuffs
Yet as a customer .. I wont say this phone is bad nor i would say its good ..
But its helpful to me in mostly all the ways .. and i kinda liked this phone a lot ... though the battery disturbs at times ..
But well more than a review .. I would suggest Uall to buy this phone and share your personal review cause trust me it isnt that bad .. !!
Good one under budget

Using Micromax canvas selfie for 2 weeks now.I am satisfied by the product.By saying this,I would like to comment that this phone has its flaws.
PROS:
Styling-Best design by micromax till date.
Good form factor
Nice grip and feels sturdy.Not getting any plastic feel.Faux leather on the back is good.
Interphase is better than most of the android phones out there.Its vibrant and colorful.
Touch sensitivity is good.
Its fairly fast.Calling,Messaging,Browsing etc are good.
Camera is awesome.Sensor is great and the effects are good.
Gaming is good.I installed high graphics games like GT racing and it played nicely.
Viweing angle and display is also impressive.
Battery back up is surprisingly good.I get 1 day with heavy gaming[mostly Candycrush/Tennis etc] and moderate internet and calling.But the camera drains battery quickly.
CONS
RESTARTING PROBLEM:I faced this problem 2 times in the last 2 weeks.One time it got stuck and I had to hard rest the phone.I donno whats going on.
OVERHEATING:Only when gaming and long calling.
TOUCH LAG:happens rarely.
Low light photography is bad.
Audio quality is bad in inbuilt speaker.
VERDICT:Consider this if u want low cost octacore+16gb+2gb with gorrilla glass and styling there is no other phone with this combination.
Techinical Problems with every other micromax products

I was using Micromax A311 2years ago, since it was value for money i decided to maintain brand loyalty. But to my disappointment last few models used by me and my family members are far below standard quality. Heat is an universal issue with micromax mobile. Aaprt from that micromax nitro 311 sometime get automatically powered off / restart during ongoing call (inspite of having full battery). Micromax Selfie comes with substandard simcard slots (micro & nano) which stops reccognizing any sim after a few days (within 2-3 weeks of purchase). It may a problem with the flipkart's retailer also coz we don't know whether the retailer (WS Retail), might have supplied a faulty product.
