It is well designed and comfortable to use but not worth it if it is going break after six months

I bought this mouse on 9 March, 2012 and after using this mouse for my net-book for over a year, I think a review is due on me. I bought this mouse after a through comparison with the Microsoft WMM 1000. Now I know that it was a right decision. I later bought WMM 1000 for a friend and a Dell WM112 for my desktop. The Microsoft one is just a piece of cheap plastic. The Dell one is slightly better though it ain't a patch on the Logitech M185..
Now coming to the pros:
Working Surfaces: The biggest positive of this mouse is that it works anywhere.. Just anywhere.. It works on bed-sheets (any color or texture), on my jeans, glass, on walls, on wood, on the screen of my laptop, EVEN ON MY HEAD.. Yes I use it on my head too when I am using my netbook while lying on bed (an awkward position to use a mouse though)..
The LED: Unlike the Microsoft and Dell mice that I bought the Logitech M185 doesn't has an irritating, visible, blood red LED. Rather it has an invisible IR one..
Battery: To understand how good the battery life of this mouse is consider this: I use this mouse on an average about 3 hrs daily. Many times I forget to switch it off only to realize my mistake the next day. I bought this mouse 1 Yr, 1 mth and 13 days back and I am still using the same battery provided with the mouse.. Take that..
Build quality: is just excellent. Plastics used are OK. Ergonomics are OK too. The battery latch and power switch feel a little delicate but I think Logitech knew I wouldn't access them much.
Coming to the cons: I don't find any specific ones but it would be better if the mouse had a few more cms in its length. The power switch could have been better too.. I used to get double clicks on singles some time back but they vanished as mysteriously as they appeared.
Now that is it.. Friends, if any one of you want an entry level mouse, nothing beats the logitech M185. Don't look for anything beyond just go for it...

Flipkart did it again as usual, i ordered this product on an afternoon and next day morning the item is @ my desk. WOW. Flipkart does the same always. Its the best. Coming to M185, its such a lovely mice. compact and fits well in hand. Connect the micro receiver to ur laptop and .. POOOFFF!!! within seconds its all urs. Good accuracy and precision. A real value for Money. Already a a couple of ma frens have placed order for the same.

Awesome mouse for general but heavy use

This is the type of mouse I was looking for.. small, light weight and it comes with in built pocket to keep Bluetooth receiver so you won't lose it.Also it has on off switch and it does goes in power saving when not in use.I haven't changed battery from the moment I bought this so very happy with battery back up I got.Buttons and wheels have good clicky feeling and it is very comfy due to it's small and curvy shape.It does not have annoying red light at bottom plus it works on almost every plain surface except transparent glass table.For Rs. 625, it is good to go!Only thing that I feel bad about it the logo is almost gone now. Check attached recent pic of my mouse after months of use. Use is rough but it took it all.

I got this mouse on 5th Dec 2015It has almost been with me for 2 years when it's scrolled got damaged. Till then it was working flawlessly. (With only one battery change)Then I got my warranty claimed, which got me a new one. (After 1 long week wait)Overall performance of this mice is awsm. N for sure it's reliable.The only con I found was it's service center, which is not at all customer friendly.Got it for Rs.649 and its worth every penny I paid.
Poor Connection and Lag

I was using an amkette wireless mouse and Keyboard set before this, and that used to work great. That mouse lasted me almost 3 years without any issue. When it finally stopped working i decided to by this based on multiple reviews i read here. However my experience with the product has been very bad.I have connected my Laptop to my TV using HDMI Cables and wanted a wireless mouse to control the laptop while i am seated at the sofa.The mouse works fine when you are sitting next to the laptop, but as soon as you move a few feet away the connections is poor with lot of lag.Would not advice anyone to by this product.

Update : 7 months passed with about 5 hours of daily usage, here are the results :* Battery is alive and kicking ! No issue there* I've got pretty big hands (am 179cm / 75 Kg) and it is in no way uncomfortable to use, terming it 'too small'* NOT suitable for gaming. Occasional gaming ? Yes. But never for serious gaming.* Warranty / Registration : I DID get the whole two year warranty plus extended warranty. So all who are saying that the unit is 'duplicate' and all that nonsense, needs to get their heads checked (or probably you are unlucky to get a faulty item).* Durability : Keys, on/off switch, transreceiver, sliding unit at the bottom, all acting fine.* No scratches and stuff even after hectic usage (do not try bouncing of the wall !)* Satisfaction meter ? 95/100* Will I consider another, if situation demands ? I damn sure will.==========================================================As many claim as a con, even with a big palm I do not find this gem of a mice to be too small to use. Perfect pair along with my laptop. Another con someone pointed out is that is is too noisy. Again, not agreeing with that.Not as fast as a wired mouse (while gaming), but apart that I've not a single issue with this one.3 year warranty @ 650 INR, what on earth you want more !?4.5 / 5 for the item.
Not large enough for a medium sized hand

Wireless optical mouse that runs on a single AA battery (included in the pack). Mouse is very lightweight and is small - just a tad bigger than a mini mouse. Small even for a medium sized hand. Ergonomics not the best. Not at all comfortable for prolonged use.Quick installation - just insert the nano receiver into a USB port, remove the battery seal, switch on the mouse and you are ready to go. Windows 10 recognised it immediately - no need to install any drivers or adjust any settings. The LED at the bottom stays off - probably to save battery? Will update this review after a couple of months.

Logitech M 185 Wireless Mouse, in short terms is worth for your money... I switched over from a cheap quality laptop mouse to this product. I should be frank, Logitech has stood out again with its finesse and class.. I am not advertising for them but frankly they meet our requirements hands down...A fantastic product.
Pros:

1.Nano receiver is fantastic.. could have been more aesthetically designed to mesh completely with laptop. but still good.
2. Connect receiver to laptop and in exactly 10 Seconds, your mouse is ready... Super fast and very accurate..
3. No fancy lights and invisible optic sensor are really good features, which gives you a more soothing usage at night..
4. Range - 10m (too good. infact farther than 10 feet i could not read anything in laptop).
5. Hope tha battery holds long.. i havent tested it much. but hope it should live upto its expectations.
6. Value for money and warranty is good.
7.Flipkart Service - Hats Off... Keep it up

1. In the lighter vein, it took me 5 minutes to open Flipkart packaging.. [:P]..really good packing.
2. On off Switch Could have been built a bit more sturdy and could have been a spring button underneath (Press to switch on and off)
3. Mouse Clicks a bit louder,(tick tick noise)...could have been reduced. Especially scroll click is really loud...

I bought this product. Due to some unknown reason, it stopped working just after two months. Product is covered under warranty. So I contacted Service Centre. They replaced by another new one. Since then it is working nicely with excellent performance.
