Reviewing it after using for about a week. First of all I got it for 67,990 in flipkart sale. It was at throwaway price so couldnt resist to purchase it. This particular model pe62 7re has no information available on the internet so I am gonna help you out. It has 8 gb ddr4 ram and an available free slot but, you cant add more ram without breaking the warranty seal because you have to open it completely from the back. 128ssd + 1tb hdd is the best what you can get. Even hdd is 7200 rpm which no famous brand is giving at this price. 1050ti is cherry on the cake. The display is above average (my primary use for this is designing rather than gaming) The overall look is quite sleek and has an aluminium panel on the top. This looks quite classy rather than a gaming laptop. At 67,990, this is a beast which no brand can offer Also, msi is running a diwali campaign where you can claim free bag and mouse with purchase of this laptop.

This is a review after using the laptop for a day. I do not mention specs here as that information can be found easily on google search. Build Quality - I was skeptical of the build quality given lots of negative reviews about msi's bad build quality. I was surprised to see that the build quality was actually quite decent. The top panel is metallic and well built. The bottom panel is half plastic and half metal. The plastic part has a bit of flex. But that's mainly cause there are a lot of vents at the bottom. Which is a good thing for keeping the temps down. Even if it breaks in the future, it should be easily replaceable as it's just a completely removable bottom cover. Display - MSI doesn't mention the type of display they have used. I think it's a TN panel but it's a good quality TN. Horizontal viewing angles are very nice. Vertical viewing angles are not so good. The default color calibration was bad though. I highly recommend installing the True Color software from MSI website. The sRGB profile they provide is great. Overall, I like this laptop. It's money well spent. I got it for 72k. I'll update the review as and when I have something more to say.

well,, a silver one.. gives classy look with being a gaming beast.. top panel of aluminium and feels gud when touched,, also doesn't attract fingerprints.. everywhere else plastic.. pros - 1. gtx 1050ti.. means most games at 60+ fps on high/ultra settings 2. i7 7700hq.. no prob during editing stuff 3. 8 gb 2400mhz ddr4 ram.. no lag 4. quad speakers.. get pretty loud.. loud enough for my roommate to scream from other side 5. subwoofer.. not a crazy bass device.. bt u cn feel 6. gud position of air vents at the back.. ur usb devices won't boil as in case of side vents 7. display anti glare.. not the best one.. not ips.. but gives gud horizontal angle 8. backlit keyboard.. no prob in dark 9. a 7200rpm hdd.. better than most laptops having a 5400rpm one 10. a ssd.. not the best.. but better than nothing cons - 1. screen flex 2. fans loud.. but not that much.. anyways use headphones 3. screen not ips 4. keypad doesn't use windows precision drivers.. uses synaptics touchpad.. still gud 5. hinge is not that much gud 6. no optical drive.. heartbreak for some who have game dvds 7. slow ssd.. better upgrade after warranty coz u will break warranty if u try to do now

The MSI GV62 7RD is the latest entry level gaming laptop from MSI, which carries the same DNA and hardware as its older GL and GP series. You get the same Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor we have seen all other gaming laptops this year along with the best entry level gaming GPU at the moment, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050. While MSI here has adhered to the standard gaming hardware specifications here, the whole exterior of the laptop looks somewhat minimal. There is little to talk about the design, MSI has kept things relatively understated compared to what we have seen from the company previously. A lot of this might have to do with the fact that this is a relatively lightweight gaming laptop, which does restrict the company from going all out on the design front. At 2.2Kgs, the MSI GV62 7RD is a good 300-400 grams lighter than the category average. However, this light gaming laptop is pretty heavy when it comes to gaming performance. The machine can easily run games like Doom on ultra settings at around 75fps at an average. Graphic intensive titles such as Battlefield 1 run steadily above 45 fps on the 1080p display at ultra settings, that too with DX12 and HDR support on. While the performance is good, the 15.6- inch 1080p display is not the best out there for content other than gaming. The machine is using a wide view TN panel, which does have decent viewing angles horizontally, but has serious colour shifting issue when seen vertically. What is impressive though is the cooling, the laptop goes into turbo mode while gaming, spinning the fans at almost 5700rpm. This keeps the CPU and GPU cool and we never saw any major throttling issues during our testing period. However, with such top shelf hardware packed in this laptop, the battery life is not great, as is the case with most gaming laptops today. We got not more than 2 and half hours of battery life from this laptop as a best case scenario. Overall, we think the MSI GV62 7RD adds another option for the gaming community who are looking to buy an all-in- one laptop for gaming and other tasks alike. Bought it on 8/12/17 at 25,000 Rs discount ( 54,490 INR). Specs are too good for the price. What I feel about the laptop after 3 days of continuous usage (includes gaming ) (Pros and cons are written mixed) 1. Build quality Excellent for the price ( 9/10) 2. Track pad is very good and the LMB and RMB on track pad is litlle bit hard to press (8/10) 3. Sound quality after installing all the sound drivers including nahimic is very good and pretty loud. (8/10) 4. The top material of the opening lid is a fingerprint magnet ( Requires weekly cleaning) (7/10) 5. Have an empty SSD slot which I can later expand to fast up things (10/10) 6. 8GB RAM handle things with ease (8/10) 7. Dedicated switch for switching the heat exhaust fans is excellent (10/10) 8. Full HD screen is very good but turns black when we view from the downside of lap but its is a very silly issue comparing to the full HD quality (9/10) 9. Core i7 HQ processor which is currently the top in market is provided which is the best part of this lap (10/10 + 5 star) 10. Graphics card GTX 1050 can handle games with ease. I played GTA 5 and battlefield BC at very high settings and those games were smooth as butter. (9.5/10) 11. Keyboard just have the red backlighting whose brightness can be controlled or switched off if not needed. I would be more good if we could get multiples lights here (7.5/10). 12. It lacks a CD/DVD drive 13. More than one USB 3.0 ports and excellent in case of all other ports but lacks VGA port (9.5/10). 14. HD webcam is average (6/10) 15. Dedicated switch to open Dragon center (9/10) 16. All the drivers we need are already included in the lap on a separate partition which is excellent (10/10) 17. The lap comes with DOS in which we can later install windows or Linux or any of our choices which makes us save about 8,000 Rs (10/10) 18. There is a little bit shaking of the opening lid in the opened state but it is a very silly issue Overall value for money is 10/10 according to me. Go for it and you will be never disappointed :)

LETS GO WITH EACH CATEGORY AND COMPARE WITH OPEN MARKET OF OTHER BRANDS. a) Processor:The msi gv 627rd is equipped with Intel i7 7th gen 7700HQ kaby Lake H architecture processor which is the might beast for allround performances in the present market.It is a Quad core CPU clocked @2.8Ghz which can throttled upto 3.8Ghz.This will be a tough rival even for upcoming CPUs .It's a low power consumption CPU for a gaming laptop at Max performances. b) GPU(GRAPHICS) : The MSI GV627rd is eqquiped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 4gb GDDR4 which is one among the trending graphic card of GTX 1050 series.It can handle maximum of the game very easily which are thrown on it.It can pretty easily handle any sort of game .It been handling GTA-V & FIFA 17 in a very satisfying manner.The GTX 1050 . c) MEMORY: The MSI equipped with 8 GB DDR4 wit7rh frequency of 2400MHz ,the ram can be expanded upto 32Gb. d) STORAGE:The MSI is eqquiped with 1TB HDD running at 5400rpm as secondary drive. e) DISPLAY :The MSi eqquiped with 15.6 inch Full HD 1920 X 1080 ,94% NTSC panel of TN ,which is far better than cheaper quality ips panels in market.it is Blacklit Wideview Anti-glare display which is pretty good from side angles. f) KEYBOARD AND TOUCH PAD:The MSI is eqquiped with a rock solid Steelseries keyboard which is very stiff and comfortable for gaming and other usage,it is a red backlit silver lining print keyboard which looks awesome while gaming.The touch pad is very good in performance. g) BATTERY: The MSI is eqquiped with 6 cell batterywhich give a back up of 2-2:30 hours.which is acceptable on seeing open market of laptops. h) Ports and Slots:The MSI GV627RD is eqquiped with 1 X USB 2.0 ; 1 X 3-in-1 Card Reader (SD,SDHC,SDXC) ON RIGHT ,while left side cosists of 2 X USB 3.0,1 X USB 3.1(USB-C),1 X HDMI PORT,1 X MIC INPUT, 1 X 3.5mm headphone jack, 1 X mini display port for attaching secondary display. i) CONNECTIVITY :The MSI is eqquiped with INTEL 3168 Sandy peak (1 X 1 802.11ac) wifi modem.Bluetooth:v4.2 ,Ethernet powered by Killer Lan. j) Sound and Webcam:The MSI GV627RD is eqquiped with 4 X 2W speakers with 1 subwoofer.its is powered by Nahimic 2+ 3D technology with give a 3D VR experience to user,the sound output is very good.It has a built-in microphone which is pretty good for making calls,chat.The webcame is a 720p @30fps which is pretty decent for vedio communication. k) cooling system :The MSI is eqquiped with cooler boost 4 technology which offers mind blowing results in present day tech.For me,it's the best air cooling system.it has 2 cooling fans with mutiple cooler heat transfer final which transfer heat from CPU,GPU and other devices,the device has a good ventilation. l) body design & weigth:It's a pretty simple design with gray colour with brused aluminum look .the laptop has good plastic at base and besides the screen.the weigth of laptop is 2.2kgs which is 300-500 grams lower compared to average laptop weight in it's category. m) warrenty:2 years limited warrenty .but as per seller it's 1st year international warrenty +2nd year limited Indian warrenty. Conclusion: Pro: - Great specs, - Light weight, - good price to specifications ratios, - Awesome cooling system, - Remote control of performance via Dragon center. - Solid look. - Indian Exclusive. Cons: - lower plastic finish, - No RGB keyboard, - No expansion for 3rd storage unit. Finally in a single word.its a must grab device. Have had this beast for a week now and would try to cover almost all the aspects I could look into. The first look: Unboxing it over the beatiful MSI packaging, the first look at model was pure wow. The piece look absolutely beautiful once you open the flap(it gets even better when you boot it ;) ) 1. The 3 pin in power chord is European type which could pose a one time problem for some users. Bought a converter for the same. 2. The laptop isnt provided with Windows preinstalled and doesnt have a CD Drive either. Which could a little problem for a few users. 3. The keyboard is developed and perfected by the steelseries, is already beautiful and has hot red backlight. (flaunt flaunt) 4. The built quality is exceptional. Have an HP and a Lenovo but this is something else. The red backlit goes very well with the gray body. The back lid is a fingerprint magnet though. 5. The bootup is pretty quick. And data transfer is fast as well. You can add an SSD if you wish to. 6. Gaming cant be done better especially at this price point. For a casual gamer. Ive played FIFA18, Skyrim, PES18 at Ultra and I am yet to see a thing to complaint. It is also provided with a dedicated button for Dragon centre where you could customise your rig for your gaming likings. 7. Heating. Tbh, I havent seen any. Playing FIFA, the laptop didnt heat much, meaning it didnt need to use the dedicated exhaust button.(I did use it once for showing off though) 8. The display. Its 1080p and bright enough, ith decent viewing angles. Ticks all checkboxes for me here. 9. Ports. It hosts an array of ports. 3.0, 2.0, Type C, HDMI. 10. The trackpad is standard sized but the buttons are a bit hard and clicky. 11. Its provided with a separate partition for drivers and has once click installation. 12. The price. I dont think you could even think of somthing like this at this price point. Most people would call this an entry level laptop, but literally kills it for 55k. Its clearly up there with the big guys. I think I just got lucky getting this that too at this price. Its loaded with everything you can ask for. This is a game changer.

Nice product by msi. Using it for video render ,photo editing & regular stuff. upgraded with 256Gb m.2ssd and 8Gb ram. performance is great no lag whatsoever . heat management is best no throttling till now. battery life is good considering the power hungry processor and light weight . key travel and built quality is perfect ,no flex on keyboard. screen is good for gaming and normal stuff but colors and screen quality is horrible for editing ,worst screen possible. external monitor is the only solution. fan noise is loud under load , heat management by soft.is very well done by msi. msi included mechanical 5200Rpm slow HDD ,bottle-necking everything. For best performance SSD is the only option. track pad is good but msi Synaptics Trackpad driver is bummer here is a trick to make it better. ;- Upgrade your Trackpad for FREE! by dave lee .on youTube. If possible then get thermal re-pasting done wile up-gradation. ***To any sort of up-gradation you have to visit msi service center and they charge you 300+tax. otherwise you loose your warranty.***
