There's some noticeable lag if you directly connect your midi to laptop via usb. Doesn't matter if you are starting out with music production, but if you are already a seasoned producer, I would advise you to buy an audio interface.
3-4 hr of battery life.
P.S.: Reviewing this after 3 weeks of use in music production.

Got this one on big billion days for 60K after all offers. Excellent product from Dell. Tough body, sleek design. My 4th Dell laptop in last 20 years. Upgraded from the previous Dell after 6 years. A working horse machine.
Pros:
Nice display
Strong body
Performance is great due to the SSD primary hard disk
Got Office 2016 license along with the laptop.
2Kg weight and less than 2cm thickness
Silent operation and no heating at all even after 10 hours of continuous usage.
Cons:
Very high resolution may not be suitable for continuous usage.
3 cell battery provides enough backup for just 3-4 hours max

It's an excellent laptop with super fine screen, the most beautiful part of the whole laptop is it's crystal clear screen with minimal bezels. The body of the laptop is also very sleek and stunningly beautiful.
The configurations are awesome. I got it in an exchange offer with my old laptop for just Rs. 65k.

I consider it as an alternate to the MBP i've owned before. with pre-installed 64-bit windows 10 OS, its pretty fast and stable so far. Have installed couple of heavy-duty software on top of the factory installed ones. So far so good, pretty good choice for power users.

Writing the review on this laptop!I have been using this laptop for a little over a month. At first glance it feels very premium. The IPS display is a pure bliss and because of this, the display is very soothing to the eyes. Even in low-light my eyes were not stressed out at the lowest brightness. The screen is very reflective though which could sometime be problem if you have a bright background behind you, like for example, outdoors.The all aluminium exterior feels very sturdy and premium. The area around the keyboard and touchpad has a rubbery-plastic feel which looks good but attract oily fingerprint. The touchpad is large and precise. The keys on the keyboard feel good and are back-lit with 3 levels of brightness. In short, you won't be dissapointed with the looks at all.Coming to performance, it has a 128 SSD (M.2 mount) + 1TB HDD with windows 10 installed on the SSD. If the price per GB of SSDs drop in the future, I would upgrade it. As expected, windows 10 boots up in a few seconds. I have dual booted this laptop with ubuntu 16.04 and still have plenty of space for both the OSes and handles both of them well. Both the OSes work snappily and so far it has handled every (mostly CPU) tasks I have thrown at it very well. It has a GTX 940MX graphics processor which is not exactly meant for heavy gaming but I use it for TensorFlow and OpenCV and the training time is small with small to mid-sized datasets (3s/epoch on GPU vs 30s/epoch on CPU). I don't expect it to handle larger data-sets though.The only disadvantage is the battery-life which is around 3-4hrs only (lesser on ubuntu). But then with 15.6 inch Full HD and i7 and graphics processor, it would perhaps be unfair to expect very long battery backup at this price range. Take, for instance, the i7, 15 inch variant of Macbook Pro with an okayish Radeon graphics processor with a 6+ hours of battery backup comes at Rs 135k+. That's okay for me as I use it as my home computer and you need to plug-in the charger for maximum CPU and GPU performance. The internal speakers stopped working after 3 weeks but Dell replaced it for free in the next week.Reducing one-star for battery backup. Other than that, its a good value for money and I am happy with the purchase. :)

this laptop is high in cost.looking soo good.but flipkart sent me a damage product . speakers working not properly.i did return process but no flipkart agent did not respond still now.it almost 10 days over no reply from flipkart.worst service from flipkart.dont believe this filpkart.my sensior advice to any one don't buy very costly elections gadgets in this flipkart other wise you will face more difculties like me.
