All is good with this device (good gadget to have at home) ...

All is good with this device (good gadget to have at home) but am not very happy with the final outcome. The data transfer rates are not good 8 mbps mostly. What really took me by surprise is the customer/technical care. Within 11 months of purchase, i got the critical warning that the fan has stopped working. The customer care in cold blood asked me to back up the data and he will arrange for pick up for this device to be sent to Blore warehouse. They will check and accordingly send rectified/replacement device. Now imagine the pain i am going through to transfer 1tb at 8mbps and to make it worse the fan warning comes on and off.
its amazing guys.

i got it in a lightning deal for 23000 rs and no cost emi.this is the first time i am trying a NAS and i came to the right place and right product.i bought the 4 tb version (it has 2, 2 tb wd red hdd)i switched the raid mode to 0 because i want to use the full space. i am getting write speed of 114MBPS and i am impressed.plex performance is amazing but no transcoding but it was able to play a uncompressed movie i had (15.5gb) without any hickups but some of my songs didnt play in my android tv/mobile where it needs hardware transcoding.in pc it works.overall i am happy with it.the interface is so beautiful and u can install third party apps too.great product for a great price.i am loving it. hope it dosent give any problems.:)

BUILD: External casing made of plastic, inner chassis/frame made of metal however. I would have preferred better build quality for the price.DESIGN: Functional design, adding/removing/replacing HDD is fairly easy. Has a fan built it which kicks in when needed. Between the two HDD lies a mini computer which controls the entire setup.USER INTERFACE: UI is definitely not as cool as Google Drive or One Drive but does the job. Features such as task manager, hardware monitor there as well.USABILITY: Easy to setup, can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Three lights, in front. One for power & two for HDD. Advantage is that you can directly connect your portable HDD to myCloud and take backup. Downside is that even to do so, you need to have you myCloud connected to a network, or perhaps I am missing something. Take note of this before buying.
In general the setup was pretty straight forward

My review of WD Ex2It Been very long time i was looking for a NAS home solution. Most of devices are costing more than mini or normal PC. Just bay alone.Ofcourse it have a pc kind of spec but not a full blown pc. Plus the hard disk costing more or close the bay if we populate it.There comes this little bumped up ultra series NAS from WD. Its almost double the spec of orginal WD ex2 with twice CPU core and frequency along with twice ram.The combo offer was sweat deal. As today HDD are costly and comes with less warranty if it failes within the time frame. So as Desktop HDD were 5 year normal and 7 year's Black edition. Were now 2 years and 5 year's only external HDD are now with 3 year's warranty.NAS series HDD not much different from regular but it was ment to run for long runtime than regular plus generates less heat.Coming to review of this Box.In general the setup was pretty straight forward.Just plug in power cable and lan cable to router and you are ready to glow. It will turn on and this 4TB or any bay with storage are pre-configured with RAID 1. Which will reduce the space by 50% as it replicates the data on 2nd one.I have gone through the setup which will prompt you to setup mycloud account when you visit mycloud.com.Once it done it will ask to generate password for dashboard access. Yes both are different. Then it will prompt you for firmware upgrade current version is 2.2. 21 ( FTP is little buggy)Voila you are good to go and start creating user's and groups along with shares. Once done. You can readily access those in your network tab .I was transferring initially 750GB on each drive and it took me 3-4 Hours for each set of transfer.Yes i did have to change the raid to JBOD, I dont have much of storage so i went with JBOD( Just bunch of disk)The maximum transfer was 116MB/s write and 115MB/ read. that almost complete 1gb/s speed. Provided you have a decent router cabaple of 1gbps. Though the HDD can do 145MB/s read and write close to 130+MB/s due to LAN speed limitation it cant reach that speed.I did setup the camera copy feature. As soon it sees the camera it backs up quickly. Most of the features were too good as below.Apps section.HTTP , FTP , P2P, Dropbox, Plex, Resilo, etcSharesGroupwise , userwise and quoto'sMedia sharing, Remote backup, Clould sync etc.it can stream files upto 1080P. For 4k you need real 1gb line which is hard to get. As mostly TV only have 100Mbps line.As for 4k most of 10Bit files sizing from 45GB to 70GB needs a throughput of 30-40MB/s read.Hope this concludes the review. Its stylish, Compact and worth to get if you need a reliable storage which can be accessed from anyware .
