About disk : Great quality and robust too.
Great to buy a transcend product because seagate is just a brand name whom you cant trust anymore. (from review of my friends who own a seagate hard disk).

got the product for 4290 last week.usb2 speed is 26 mbps and usb3 speed 90 mbps.pretty fast for me.i didnt wanted a shiny one as it may scratch and accident drop can be painful.the cable is long enough and strong but looks weird. there is vibration in usb3,after connecting the additional usb there was'nt any.but only 698 gb in ntfs too,thats a let down.also the back up software in crap,any way good,robust,strong,fast, product to keep my data safe and portable.

i had purchased this hd one week ago and i am very much happy for buying this product.
extremely good product and transfer speed is terrific
also this hard drive is robust too.
also i wanted say that i was lucky to get this hd at the rate of 4290/-
when i inquired about the product its price was the same and i told the cc to book the same
after 10 min when i again called the cc they replied me that the price has been changed to 4590/-
so i was pretty lucky...:)
so i appeal to all the buyers who are a bit reluctant to buy online please do but this product and no doubt it will fullfill all of ur requirements....!!!!!!!

I have been using this for 3 year approx and haven't faced much issues, but my product just wont go any faster than 60 Mbps for a USB 3.1 it should top at around 200 Mbps, there nothing wrong with my PC if thats what you think. but its been 3 year and since my HDD is already full i am getting a new one. If your considering this one for buying then, well it would satisfy but performance wise its not what is has been stated, but still gets the job done.

Did lot of R&D . went thru lot of reviews of other costlier hard disk and was little skeptical to buy . But happy to purchase and register it on the website and got full warranty . Its writing speed sometimes goes beyond 100 Mbps but generally comes between 40-60 Mbps. Quite sturdy and doe s not require any external pouch or bag .

Got this delivered fast and safe well before the agreed date of delivery.The product is superb1. Build Quality seems better than most of the competitors2. Media transfer rate clocked 110MB/s and was able to transfer 10.5GB in 1:53 mins and same in 1:35min with Fatality Ultra USB interface.I have only used WD harddisks so far...Comparing the price and quality, this is a complete VFM. Even its down priced compared to WD, I believe the performance is better than that of WD. Can't comment on the reliability part...hope everything goes fine. (this comes with a 3yr warranty as WD my passport)

the product is very nice. looks tough and is rugged.
transfer speeds which i have achieved on usb 3.0
generally constant over 40mbps and highest 143mbps. sometimes very low speeds are obtained but don't worry it is sometimes due to file itself or large number of files.installing the elite software is not necessary.
format it to ntfs before first use or u won't be able to store a single file greater than 4gb as fat32 cant store it.like a movie of 5gb etc.
y cable takes 2 usb ports. but i have used with the single(usb 3.0) ports most of the time and it works well.
it also provides an intermediate buying option b/w 500gb and 1tb drives in price and storage which is nice.
before buying i heard many bad reviews about the product and was bit hesitant to buy. but after using it i would say go for it guys.
i also own a wd passport essentials se 1tb drive. it is also a great product and its overall tranfer rates and performance is quite better. but as storejet has drop protection so i bought it this time.
so in nutshell if u feel u can handle ur drive carefully always wd passport is also a good choice.
if u are a rough handler of things go for storejet.
i think purple one has more casing.... still i dont know the exact difference between the two. search for urself and decide.
