Good value
By Kaustubh Pulkundwaron
I bought this one in jan'11.
It does not have any kind of stabilization in it. Image sharpness is good, but u need a very steady hand or a tripod for getting perfect images...
It has autofocus motor inbuilt but its noisy...
Coz thats all u can get for only Rs 8k!!!
Ps. It has macro mode in 180-300mm
Got what I expected

Works perfectly for my Nikon D5200.
awesome lens in its price bracket
By SOURAV CHAKRABORTYon
its awesome lens in its price bracket....awesome quality
by this amount tamron its possible to hv macro photography cz its hv macro mode in 180-300mm range
drawbacks are
1. focus is slower than Nikor 18-55mm VR lens
2. in video mode.....auto-focus makes noise which's recorded in the video itself
otherwise itz awesome lens
Simply awesome

You r just paying 10k right?
What can u get in this price?
Af motor in-built?
A lenshood?
This lens is enough for anyone starting their photography journey!
Just carry a Tripod...The results are MARVELLOUS..
If u r good at taking photos lens and camera doesn't matter!
.HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS YOU.

Four Stars

IS/VR plays a big role for non-shaky clicks. Not really camera's fault, but mine.
Budget lens
By Kunalon
don't need to write a detailed one, there are a couple of reviews that are spot on. It's a budget lens for amateurs and use it as much as you can before moving on to the good lens. Noise is annoying, auto focus lacks but it's worth the money considering the amount you're paying for a "macro"
Good lens at a good price
By Aravindon
Its a good lens at a decent price but its main problem is there is no image stabilization or VR in this lens which is a big blow.It forces you to use a tripod or in the sports mode otherwise your image can be a little blurred.Overall its a good lens
