This batter is a replacement battery and not an original. But the original battery is way too expensive and this is a good option to go for.. The battery lasts for about 2 hours on a full charge while on heavy usage.. So if you use your laptop moderately, it will last a bit longer..These replacement batteries are good if you have an old laptop and don't want to spend much on the battery.

First day it was working fine.. from the next day when the battery is drained and if i connect it to the power supply the system hangs and it does not work properly.. once again i have to restart it every time ... please dont buy this product.. i think the cells inside are all messed up.. wasted money on this.. should have gone in for a HP battery..

The only issue I see in this after using for 3+ months is that the battery shows as charging but only till 95%. If I unplug the charger and let this drain to 10% or so, and then charge this again, it goes to 100% then.Overall the backup is pretty decent.. which is more than 30-45 minutes depends if you are only browsing or watching movies along.

I thought Lapcare as a Chinese company, but to my surprise its a Singapore company (which gave me a little confidence on this company), I checked its website and they presented well about their products and also updated about their service centers address and phone numbers. But the product is "made in china". Lapcare gives 1 year warranty on the battery & original HP also gives 1 year warranty, but HP original costs rs.3700 whereas Lapcare is only Rs.1430 & also my laptop is 4 yr old and so I purchased it. The sealed battery comes up with 30% charging, also mentioned in their manual. Their packing is wonderful and they gave me 1 month additional warranty by registering the product in their website (total 13 month warranty). This battery fits exact like the original one. I have used the laptop with new battery for 3 times. It took 1hr 10 mts to charge 100% and it worked for 1hr 55 mts (drained till the laptop shut down) with full brightness. 2nd time, it took 1hr 50 mts to charge 100% and worked for 1hr 50mts(drained till 9%). 3rd time,it took 1hr 50 mts for 100% charging and worked for 1hr 50 mts. My original also charges and discharges in the similar way (as i remember). Small tip: charge the battery till 100% and unplug the charger till the battery level comes to 7-9%, then again charge it. If we do in this way, it increases the battery life (as told by HP service center person). So, all 6 cells get charged up and discharges the entire 6, which will enhance the battery life. I did the same way, my original battery worked for 3 and half years. But in the last 2 months, i use to charge the laptop before sleep and never unplug it till i woke up and so my original battery is gone. so please follow the tip (if possible) to increase the battery life.

If you look at the market for replacement batteries,its crowded with cheap china made duplicates that cost half as much as OEM batteries,but the 6 month warranty and the quality differences depend on the buyers luck, i was glad to find the "Lapcare Hp Pavilion DV4/DV5 battery for a very decent price,it costs a third of the OEM battery and runs just as well too.Fit is a bit tight but its a small price to pay for a great product,i'm getting 2 and half hours back up running windows 8,discrete graphics zap power quickly. flipkart delivery is great as always ,got the product delivered in 2 days even though it said 6-7 business days. all in all,great value for money and the one year warranty reaffirms this.

Battery for hp dv4 model from lapcare is the Best at this price range since I have tried original hp as well as other replacement batteries which are not upto expectation as this one.
