My review is for those who are in two minds whether to opt for best quality Tv's at high price or go for slightly inferior and less costly Tv's which are not much known in market , First of all VU is Value for money , bought this Tv after exchange . Tv are often long term investment but not any more. now a days Tv develop problems in just 3-4 years , life cycle has changed after companies find cheaper alternatives in parts material , however top end tvs like Sony do come with better durability as it has moisture proof panels and new technologies but they come at very expensive price , mostly thrice the price of normal Tv , keeping in mind how technologies changes very fast its more practical to buy which costs less and come at value for money , I had bought Panasonic Tv smart vierra 42 inch which stopped working after 3 years and had major issue with panel which costs almost same as buying new Tv since it's the heart of Tv , a 65 thousand Rs Tv at time of purchase after 3 years comes down to throw away price , now a days 42 inch Tv costs 25000 approx so it's better to stay away from over spending (again if budget is not a problem one can freely spend lakhs on Tv for brands like Sony LG Samsung ) Now coming to this Tv 1) Is it as good as Sony Samsung or LG ? :- answer to it is a simple 'No' , the screen quality cannot be matched with those high end tvs , they come with better refresh rates ( the more refresh rate the smoother the visuals are ) VU works at 60 Hz whereas sonys and Lg work at 120 or more what does it mean in simple language ? The action movies or high quality content with more frames looks more clear and smooth with less flickering and awesome screen quality But if ur okay with decent picture quality and not hungry for best performance In market than VU is definitely worth the money 2) It's not smart Tv should I buy ? Well it's actually better to buy non smart Tv since u could save anything around 8 k and buy chrome cast which costs around 3200 Rs and trust me chromcast is much smoother with timely update and works efficiently compared to tvs own smart technology . Pros : 1) tv has got amazing speaker quality 2) Installation was super fast 3) Got 2 years extended warranty for 2750 Rs ( not bad considering my Tv is safe for next 3 years ) 4) Best in low budget Tv Cons :- 1) only 60 hertz refresh rate 2) Doesn't have optic cable input ( my Yamaha surround sound system required optic cable slot to play Tv sound to surround sound ) however fortunately my Tata sky box has optic input so I can connect to them , however u may face problem when u use USB directly connected to Tv and want the sound to be played from tv to surround sound , But they do have old analogue connector behind like old tvs have .

Oh boy! after connecting with TATA sky HD this huge screen produces something that you have not seen in your life earlier and I am sure you will not at this price bracket except in this Beauty..... The quality of picture ....waaweeee what I say it just like marshmallow or like melted cheese on your pizza ... Believe me; if you have the content this screen will play for you at full HD. I can't explain the actual awesomeness of picture quality in words; unless you seen it by yourself.

I have given only 3 stars due to few reasons. Ordered the TV 28th Dec, Got the product & installed on 29th Dec. Awesome & quick delivery by Flipkart. TV Video - 3/5, Audio - 5/5, Remote - 3/5 Video is only 3 stars because I mainly use the HDMI cable to watch movies & surf the net. But the minute i connect the HDMI cable the video shrinks. Tried all the options But just cant make it full screen. I have the Le Eco 55 inch TV & it feels much better. Also, the user interface like the Menu settings feels old. Its a good TV, but it doesn't meet my expectations.

With a lot of research and reading reviews on multiple sites, I thought of buying this TV. I also called the customer care before ordering just to confirm if they respond to calls and I was able to connect within a minute with good response. I ordered this product from flipkart on 5th night and it got delivered on 6th. I had some installation challenges initially but was able to get this done in 3 working days. Writing review after 5 days of experiments. Coming on to the features: Not every TV (including LG and Sony) can play all the video formats and VU is not an exception. Except .mkv file, I was able to play many movies with multiple formats with my 1TB hard disk. The Best part is though this TV is HD ready, it can play full HD movies with 1920*1080 resolution without any lag or pause. This is something I admire. Another drawback with this TV is it doesn't support DTS audio format. VU can work on this feature. Picture quality is something that can be compared to LG with IPS Panel at this range. As the 2 speakers are 6W each, you need to be on the higher side of the volume, say between 50 to 80 out of 100 from 8 to 10 feet distance. Sound clarity is good though. I have connected my TV with 2.1 channel speaker which gives extra sound quality with more control. In terms of built in quality, I like the slim design. It has 2 USB and 3 HDMI ports that are very useful. Panel seems to be sturdy and durable. Final words: If you are thinking of a good TV in your budget then you must consider VU. I feel VU has every chance of dominating Indian market and compete with LG in terms of quality with lesser price. Value for money and your penny won't be wasted. Vu is an Indian brand and hence, be Indian; buy Indian!

Got it delivered today. Nice and prompt delivery and exactly on time as mentioned in the scheduled delivery. This a very nice TV. Look wise, awesome. Picture is great Sound is good Plays any format of video including MKV via USB with no probs at all Can read my 1 TB pocket HDD super fast Honestly, there is no issue at all with this and there is absolutely no reason to buy a same specification TV by Samsung, sony, LG or panasonic worth Rs 5000 extra. Question is how long will this TV last. To answer this, the only option is to wait and watch. Thats what I am doing and I must say, "I am enjoying while doing the same" Buy it, its really worth it..Thumbs up to VU..

I am rating 1 because there no other rating below this. I ordered TV and it was delivered after 4-5 days. It was told to me that installation will be done with 2 days.But no one came for installation for 20 days.everyday I was calling Flipkart customercare during this period and getting same answer that someone will come withing 24hrs to 48hrs for installation. TV Quality:- Not satisfied TV quality.I am using Videocon HD set-top box.Quality of most of the channels are not good.Some of the channels pixalates. Another problem is that when I used external speakers, sound quality is poor.Volume is very less. Now I had raised the request for return before 10-12 days and still waiting for answer from Flipkart.It seems that Flipkart dont care about their customers.

As my title suggests, you cannot ask for more in this price. Its a steal ! I also took an exchange offer which was very nice, where the flipkart guys got my new tv and took away the old one. TIP - Keep your old TV takeaway ready to save time. Installation was easy and I did it on my own. The wall mounting was done the next day. Coming to the TV, it has amazing clarity and HD Channels are a treat to watch. You can also play all movie formats in USB. In all a great value for money !

Well you cant expect better picture quality at this price, but sound could have been better. Also they claim an automatic volume control, but it does not work, when contacted they promptly send a technician, but he said that function works only when cable is directly connected to tv and not when connected through set top box.

Overall rating is now 3 after 6 months of using.This is the latest review on the same TV, I purchased some 6 months back or so...TV stopped responding to the remote control supplied by Vu. Remote control is working, but TV does not respond. I have sent an email to the customer care. I need to see how would they respond. Will they replace Remote control? mmm... not sure. Will update review after their service.*TV is working when I use buttons behind the panel.Motion blur effect is evident even in HD channel viewing. It is more when you turn on motion enhancement option in the menu.Disovery HD from Tata sky shows up the small white gap, when used in normal mode. Normal digital signals from Tata Sky were Okay, because of the larger display area. Any TV would have behaved like that. DMP's (media player) photo viewing experience is below average as I felt response time was getting more if there are many pics in the folder.When wall mounted, its very hard to stick in any control (USB or HDMI or SPDIF output or anything). One has to remove from wall and re-mount. This act is risky as weight of TV is around 23 Kgs!Somewhere in my heart, I feel Panel refresh rate should be more than 50 Hz. This is one negative that is eating me out. I felt kind of blurring when low quality images are played out (Zee Cinema channel on TataSky - Mr. India movie). I m thinking that it could be because of the signal feed quality for larger display area. With HD signals, the image was very good.Improvements needed here:User manual needs proper instructions with clear pointers with graphics. For ex: Finding the power on/off button.Installation guide: Need to provide pictorial instructions with indicating the mapping between provided components and provided instructions.The lack of quality gives the impression that it could be cheap chinese make.
