This feedback is in particular to HOMEGIZMO retailer. I had a terrible experience with this retailer and this feedback is not in particular about the coffee maker. I am sure Sunflame Espresso Maker SF 712 is a great product, but I haven't been able to use it since I was shipped a broken coffee maker by HOMEGIZMO. I ordered a Sunflame espresso maker SF 172. Though the delivery time was appreciated I was completely unsatisfied with the product. It was not at all as advertised by the retalier. 1. The packaging of the product was terrible. The product arrived in a single layer of a poor quality bubble wrap, and though I have seen the packaging of flipkart excellent in past, I was completely dissapointed by this. I was expecting a better packaging for a delicate product which is susceptible to breakage like a coffee maker. Not to mention the cardboard packaging was completely dented and worn out (looked like a old cover to me). 2. Apart from the packaging issues, when I opened the box, the first thing I have noticed is the measuring spoon was broken (the end being chipped off and even the chipped off part missing, which lead to another doubt, that I have been shipped a used product). 3. The user manual was missing, and I was clueless on how to operate the machine. I checked online and the warranty card, which indeed mentioned a user manual as part of the box. This wouldn't have been much of an issue but Sunflame doesn't offer any online copies of this. 4. The product is scratched on the sides, which leads to my suspicion that it is a used product which has been shipped. 5. The coffee maker was not working. The pressure valve seems to be not functional and the steam keeps coming out of the machine. Apart from all these issues, HOMEGIZMO flatly refused my request for exchange of this product with a similar model. I am shouting here but preferably buy from a retailer who gives you a replacement warranty. I have been extremely happy with flipkart's service in the past but not sure why they chose retailers who are not able to match up with their level of service. It questions my motive of buying appliances online, what insurance do I have if I get subjected to a used product being shipped.

When this gadget works, it works very well. You get two mugs of excellent coffee that can be used with hot milk, as you would with any filter coffee. However, within a fortnight, I experienced a few problems with it. To begin with, you have to make sure that the coffee filter and holder are adjusted properly and then locked carefully, by pulling the handle to the right. Secondly, make sure that you pour out any excess water from the top, before adding the stipulated amount of 2 to 4 cup markings. Otherwise water will overflow. Thirdly, the instruction booklet tells you to add some descaler with the water. It is best to use one part vinegar with four parts water, and clean the pipes and the insides properly, one day, and then use it as a coffee machine on the following day. If this is not done, then the water overflows from the sides and it is a disaster.

This is a great product. Yes it is one of the best in this category as it is cheap and gives awesome results. I have made espresso which was perfect but while making cappuccino but it was my mistake,,, the proportion was not good at all. But i have slowly getting used to this and am able to make great cappuccino now. PROS - 1.> CHEAP. 2.> Good for house with small family around 5 members. 3.> 3-5bar of pressure. 4.> compact, strong, durable, safe ATTRACTIVE. CONS - 1.> It take time for making perfect latte and frothing milk. 2.> Quatity,,, it is sufficient for 4. 3.> needs 2 -3 trials for getting the correct amount of ingredients OR the proportion. If you want something which is modern rather very modern and cheap then please go for it.
