This is my second purchase of this Headphone. First time bought it was way back in 2013 and it lasted for almost 4 years. But recently the connector went faulty. Last week these were selling on lightning deal ,So without any second thought I went for it.I also own the ES18s ,E10c and E10bt.The main difference between ES18 and the ES18s is the addition of an inline mic section with the ES18S. I use it for music listening and also for calling occasionally and for movies.I am completely satisfied with its sound quality.The highs are very clear and the treble also is very controlled and stays balanced with the other frequencies.The vocals were very clear when I tested it with movies.Bass: declares its presence with authority, and it's always clean.Mids: are very clear and not over the top, possibly every so slightly scooped.Highs: low to medium highs are definitely dialed back. This leads to fatigue free listening in my case. The highest highs shine with clarity, high hats especially.??DESIGN:The shell casing is made of plastic ,glossy plastic , which looks durable enough. Cable is normal round type and will get tangled quite easily. You also get a mic and a multi function button ,the casing is done is plastic.There is no volume controlling switch.At the you get a 3.5mm gold plated connected just as seen in es18s.Overall the build quality is quite identical to the es18s.At the end ,Audio jack is 90 degree bent which is what I needed.Because with that ,I can hold my phone while gaming and the jack will not be a hurdle.Another advantage of the L shape plug is its a little less likely to snap or bend and damage the socket while in your pocket.??WORTH BUYING?Well if you want the mic then better go for the ES18s.This is surely for those who need premium sound,best in-ear fit and comfort at this price point.I totally recommend it...Trust me ,the orange one looks unique :)Thanks for reading my review,I hope it provided all the information for making a well informed and wise purchase decision.I hope it helps.Regards-Abraham Joseph

Sound magic is no magic but truly value for every cent.Staring with build and looks, they are very well built and wires are well kept even when accidently you transfer moderate shock to them. They look lovely too.When it comes to sound, don't expect any extra, they are average in sound with a little bit boosted bass. In my experience, general customer likes this. If you play musical instrument and looking for very pure experience, they are not for you.Noise cancelation is also average but these in ear earphones do help to get rid of certain amount of noise.For the price under 600, they are a fair selection and won't disappoint you.

Ok this review is not for the product but the way customers are being misled to buy defective products. I purchased two headphones of the same type one in colour black and one in colour green. The black one is good and sound good. Now coming to the green one, the sound quality was just terrible and sure to be defective. The problem here is that the product was shipped knowing well that the product was defective, the clever way is that on top opening of the box there are three seals making you believe that the product has never been unpacked buy the truth lies at the other end of the box. There is no seal and way to easy to remove and repack..please who ever is responsible should not be doing this, this is just spoiling the product reputation along with that of Amazon..product manufacturers should even seal the bottom opening.

Using this headphone for over a month now and I love it. A nice balanced sound between treble and bass is the specialty of this thing. Although bass is not like a banging thing in this, but it's enough, the treble is not piercing and very smooth. Nice.Edit: It is still going strong after almost one year. My Sennheiser, audio technica and nokia has passed away. RIght now, this is my go-to, movie and jogging headphones now. In terms of longevity and sound signature, it reigns supreme. I also purchased a Sony MDRXB450 but that is like my "luxury" music experience thing...that's not a 24/7 companion like this ES18. It's the dark horse of headphones.

Got these recently. These earphones are really nice. Noise cancellation is pretty good. And the clarity is neat too. Its best for who wants to hear good quality music for cheap price. My rating : 5 stars ...JUST GO FOR IT COMPARISONSs: Panasonic RP-HJE120E-K Headphone: My roommate owns the above Panasonic head-phones and lets say SOUND MAGIC ES-18 is LEAGUES AHEAD.ES-18 is better in every aspect PERIOD.Also these are pretty fragile and ugly. Sennheiser MX 170 Earphones: I haven't used this model but it doesn't offer NOISE CANCELLATION.Also it's design causes ear-ache after prolonged use. Skullcandy S2DUDZ-012 In-the-ear Headphone: These headphones are ONLY GOOD LOOKING.Nothing else CONTENTS and DESIGN: the Headphones came with a 1-yr Warranty and 1 nice pouch.The pouch seems perfect for carrying in the pockets as well without looking cheap. the design looks pretty sturdy and feels comfortable in the ear.I ran around the house with these on they didn't fall off.The red and black color looks good but not nearly as good as the skull candy models.For looks the green-black model is more appealing. I am amazed how great these earphones are. I've been using these earphones since past 1.5 year, and even though I am not getting some very low frequency sounds now, they still sound pretty great. None of the other earphones I've used in all these years, with all those 5-star ratings, didn't impress me as much as this product did. pros: 1. After 1.5 years of hardcore using, they still pass ALL the earphones tests (at www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php). 2. This is so much fun especially when your friends get some new mp3 player, and the earphones that come with them don't pass all of those tests... ;) 3. It has much better bass and treble than MANY other earphones in the market. Quality is equal to Apple/Sony earphones, but when it comes to bass these earphones beat the crap out of all other earphones. Even after 1.5 years. 4. Very cheap given its quality. When I bought them, they costed about Rs.550. Now look.... the price wouldn't have risen if they're bad earphones. Even at this price range, they're so much better than others. 5. They look gorgeous. Just look at that Green and Black design. From distance, it looks like some Skull Candy earphone (and makes you look cool!). Need I say that their quality is as good as (if not better) than Skull Candy at same range? 6. The wire is strong. It won't break that easily. So if you're like me and sleep with earphones in you ear, don't worry. Just take care that you won't get suffocated.... (just kidding.. ) 7. Noise Isolation. Plug-it in and you won't hear almost anything (unless you're in some train... ;) ). I casually plug them in my ears (without playing music) to avoid disturbing noises (like your roommate chewing loudly) when I am trying to concentrate on something. Guess what, I am pretty impressed with the results too. ;) Cons: 1. The design on the earphones wears out after sometime (which is to be expected with any earphones maybe). 2. It comes with extra buds, but not with buds of different sizes. 3. The Left and Right signs on earphones are hard to read. It took sometime for me to realize where they're printed when I first brought them. They're still hard to look at. I instead plug them in, play a song, and change sides if the audio seems wrong. That seems much easier. (A tip for those already using: M sign is for left year. ES-18 is for right). 4. After a long time, your earphones may not play very low frequency sounds like mine. But this shouldn't be a problem because most frequencies are still excellently played, and even the low frequency problem wont cause much trouble for those hearing at high volume. Conclusion: Great product. Hats off! Bottom line advice: If you're looking for something in the range of 500-1500 - Just buy this! You'll save money! If you're looking for something less than 500, get some more money and buy this!

i bought sound magic es 18 in the month of April at the cost of 799. The product is descent. But today i experienced a problem with this earphone. The left side of the earphone stopped working abruptly. i called the flipkart customer care & they told that flipkart only gives 1 month replacement warranty from their side, the other 6 months warranty is from manufacturer. so the customer care representative gave me 2 phone numbers to contact sound magic guys. but both numbers were inactive. In the next conversation with another representative, the guy told me to find out sound magic's service center here in india & asked me to check their website as there is no further help that they can do from their side. I knew at that point that i am going nowhere with this but was left with only one option to check their website. i found nothing on sound magic's website.[Shocked] The next thing i searched for was "sound magic customer care" and the 1st hit that i got said, their is only 1 service center and that to it is only in delhi.[Another Shocker] so for the rest part of india. sound magic doesnt exist itself and the contact no that was mentioned on that web page was the same 1 as the 1st flipkart cc representative gave me.[no Wonder from where the flipkart guys got the All in one SM contact no] The comments on that webpage mentioned the same problem that i noticed with mine, "left side of earphone not working'. if you want to confirm what i am saying go ahead check it yourself. Search "Sound magic customer care", click on the first link and u will see the same. so the bottom line is their is no support for es 18 & any other Sound magic product here in india. so now i have a product which is well under warranty & i have a problem with it but their is hardly anything that i can do to avail it.

I have used creative EP630, Bose IE2 earphones, compared to those soundmagic es18 performs better. Bose IE2 has better build quality, but for Rs 780 we can't expect so much from this. For people who are confused with creative EP630 and SM ES18, based on my experience soundmagic es18 is the best. If you are planning to buy an earphone within 1k then this the one!! My rating, Sound quality : 8/10 Build quality : 8/10 Value for money : 9/10 Overall 8/10
