I ordered for a silver coloured one but i got a black colour recorder... other all things are good...I use it for lecture records nd I get a very nice clarity of recording wid it.. Advantages: 1) Light weight , Easy to cary. 2) Small compact (Much smaller than what you see on the web). Size looks like a thousand rupee china mobile. 3) Has a amazing internal memory of 4 gigs. Expandable memory option available. 4) In box i got a voice recorder , a rechargeable sony 750mAh battery which can record upto 30 hours before the battery drains out. 5) a carry protective case which is ok.Unfortunately No wind shield . 6) Lat but not the least USB extension cable to connect the device to the system. No sound organizer software CD provided instead the device internal memory has the software. 7) Recorded for 1hour 49 min in mp3 format the file size was around 112mb which was quite good.Recording quality was equally good but not excellent. 8) It can be used as a music player if you copy or carry songs on the micro sd.

before i purchased it i have had a lot of expectation and many of them i got in it but adding some feature like shuffling and opening of folder on operating mode can make it more useful and convenient. besides it the noise level could me more diverse.the earphone could be better quality. despite so many thing you will love this product for sure.

I have brought this product from Sony shop. Great looks! Great brand to flaunt around!!! Many features like FM , data tranfer facility etc good. But most products currently have all these. What is missing?! I was using a basic model of CENiX, for speech practice, trainings etc. clear loud output from a 150 mW speaker which can be heard in a room with say around 30 people. and used for over 4 years and still going great. To my suprise, many Sony models lag behind and has only a 90 mW speaker which is insufficient without an ear phone. Sound is feable, even at 1 feet away, inadequate for practical purpose. Hence 2 star. Please convey this to Sony company. And keep a few other brands with full and superior features till Sony wakes up! Encourage competition so that better products will stay in the market, isn't it? Why I didn't buy this time from flipcart, even though the Flip cart offers discount for most products? Interesting. Incidentally I wanted a small clarification as to which models have A-B Repeat function. This is a basic but essential function for learners, speakers, or any users for listerning to a partical portion of any material only to repeat. My friends out there clarified that there is no model available in the store now. Hey look at the side pic of this model itself A -B fuction is available, which I found later. Also Olympus VN - 711PC 2 GB Voice Recorder in this store...... I am sure there are many more having this function.. But how do customers know? Sometimes it is not mentioned in the product description page or some high priced branded models may not have this facility . Flipcart can get more familiaried with products so customers will get benefited by not ending up buying imperfect products. By other yardsticks, including integrity, I feel Flipcart is always one of the best ...

I googled in and around for the reviews and could not get much of information before buying the product. Here is my hands on the product. Disadvantages: 1) The device looks delicate(fragile). 2) The recording quality was not up to the mark what i expected 3) Linear PCM is the uncompressed format in which i recorded for just 10 minutes and the file size was 49.9mb. 4) I felt that my HTC one V records equally good in relative to ICD-UX533F/B.Since my android drains a lot of battery so i bought this device.In between if i get a call the recording will stop. 5) One must be a judge whether to buy or is it worth buying. i fell its 50 percent waste 50 percent good. IF you would like to record classes or lectures its a good device. 6) Fm reception is some times good. 7) I felt bad when i went to many sony outlets to get information about DVR but they said there is ony one model available that too ICD-UX533F/B . I felt of buying the SX series but unfortunately we cant even see them except on the Sony official website.

In this price range, this recorder is probably the best one could get their hands on. Noise reduction is amazing. I tested this recorder in open hall concerts. The quality of sound is great. Transferring files is also very simple as it already has a USB interface. You can achieve nearly studio quality recording if you connect the device directly to the audio monitor system via the mic port. Worth the money.
