*** Please do not go for this model *** 1.The white color outer panel will bend after continous usage for a period of 6 months and it will quickly damage due to heat. In the last 2 years we changed the panel two times. 2. The spilled water can easily enter the gap between top black plate and the panel, were the Induction stove will go for a toss.

Well,Firstly the service from Flipkart as usual was great as i ordered it at 4pm one day and i got the delivery the very next at around 7pm.The packaging was also very solid and safe. Now about the product itself,the Pros and Cons are as follows :- PROS :- 1) Its a product from the trusted and well-known brand of 'Prestige'. 2) The build is good and of durable and reliable materials and the finishing is also good.So in looks and build its 10/10. 3) It has 5 Power levels namely 200,400,600,900 and 1200 watts respectively,allowing you different intensities and speeds of cooking,Also Different power levels gives you the ability to control your electricity bill. 4) Its easy to clean and hence maintain.Just a flat surface you need to wipe clean. 5) The power cord is of sufficient length of around 4 feet. 6) Its so powerfull that i can boil a 6 litre Hari of water in 35 minutes flat.So the word "Mini" doesn't do it justice.On the contrary i wonder why anyone would go for the much more energy consuming 1500 or 2000 watt standard models of such cooktops. 7) Induction cook-tops are 100% more safer as compared to Gas or Electric stoves. Now i would like to draw your attention to How such Cooktops or technologies work :- Normally in a Gas stove or Electric Coil stove there is a heat source such as the flame or the electric coil which radiates heat and hence this heat is conducted to the utensil or vessel placed on top of them and heats the utensils and in turn the food in the utensils which results in cooking.Hence,Gas stoves or Electric stoves work on the basic principle of "Heat Conduction". Now in such stoves,the body of the stoves and the utensils get scalding hot which can burn you if you accidentally touch them,also it damages the finishing of the utensils and reduces there lives.There is also a huge wastage of heat energy or fuel as only a fraction of heat generated is transferred in conduction method to the food intended to be cooked. INDUCTION Cooktops work completely differently.There is NO HEAT SOURCE.But the magnetic coil under the top plate interacts with the metal of the utensils forming a kind of circuit which generates magnetic vortexs inside the liquid in the utensils and causes the liquid to heat up directly from within.Hence in this technology,the cooking is MORE DIRECT, INTENSE,FASTER AND ENERGY EFFICIENT.(Thats why Induction cooktops need utensils with a flat base and made of particular materials mentioned in the specification category above). If the above explanation is to technical or complicated for you to understand then just think of it like this--Suppose you have a superpower by which if you look at a pot of water then the water starts to heat up and boil without you having to heat up the pot first. You will realise what I'm talking about once you actually use such products.You will notice that the food is getting cooked more intensely and in half the time but the utensil is much cooler than when you use it on the gas stove.This is because the heat which you feel on the utensil is just the heat which is being conducted back to it by the boiling food within and is not coming from an external heat source. CONS:- 1) Many of my fellow customers here have complained or made a note of the noise from the cooling fan underneath the cooktop.- - I would like to establish once and for all that it is very minimal and such features are necessary and quite good as it helps to cool the cook-top and hence maintain and extend its life. 2)WARNING -- Nowadays a lot of appliances such as this consume above a 1000 watts of power (For example - - A 3 star 1 Ton Window A.C uses 1260 watts of power and this cook-top consumes 1200 watts) so you need to be aware and always keep in mind that you must have a power point capable of supporting such appliances or you will have the ugly or even dangerous experience where you will burn out some power socket and also the wires,fuses or even main switches associated with it. PRICING :- I got it at a decent 20% off on the M.R.P at Flipkart. But always do the Intelligent and Educated act of utilizing your rights as a customer and compare prices among different online and offline shops before choosing where to purchase from. I have purchase it from Flipkart, it's delivery is very good, I have received the product at Sunday. The product Prestige PIC 1.0 Mini is awesome. The heating quality, design all are great. The electricity consumed by the product is also very less. We are cook 3 person food daily in one time. It's take 20min only and power consume is 14 Unit in one month. So please go for it guys, it's really good product from prestige.

For those who are used to seeing big induction cook tops will find this pretty tiny at the very first look. Optimally sized for 3l cooker, 2l boiling vessels, Safe for 3/4l milk. Not many functions switches on the panel, which I feel is just redundant. Simple switch on, set the power (200-400-600-900-1200) and cook as you will do it on a stove. Funnily the two buttons heat and saute does the same function. The big plus point is the small regular 6A plug connection to enable you to use domestic lines. All the house holds will have this. I know people who have burnt wires and damaged appliances by putting a 15A plug socket in a 6A supply. 1200 Watts with ordinary available sockets as you would be doing your iron box or a hair drier is good thinking. Just use flat bottomed stainless steel/ Aluminium vessels not necessarily with so called induction ready vessels. That is just a padding of stainless steel at the bottom of aluminium vessels (press fitted) but with some fancy price. If the vessel is not suitable it just beeps and does not 'couple' or heat.

I purchased this product about an year ago and is still using it. Many times milk overflowed during boiling ( of course due to ma carelessness ) , oil , water too have fell on the top of induction cooker many times on feather touch switch area. Still not a single problem in the operation. Works fine every time. Never ever expected such a robust build quality from Prestige. What makes me wonder more is even after using for atleast 1-1.5 hrs a day and that too at 2000 watts !! , my power bill does not show any considerable increase. What magic is this ?? Really a superb product.

Voltage variation is affecting too much,I am staying at a flat in banglore.In that flat after 8Oclock in night the voltage changes and this induction top wont make our vegetables hot and it is taking 5to6minutes for each dosa,and if its working properly it will take 1minute only for a dosa.That much variation in the performance is happening
