Music is "On" the ears EDIT: Broken due to poor designn
By Srinivas Pon
I received this product today which I bought from flipkart on 16th dec for INR 973.
Before beginning my review about this product I need to tell you that I have used philips SHP series headphones which are over-the-ear type and treble oriented (more treble and less bass)
After using 'over the ear' headphones, this 'on the ear' model felt less comfortable and I'll rate this headphone in various aspects
Let's start with comfort level, like most of the headphones these come with soft padded cushions and earshells are movable but they are little loose if you shake your head to music then they'll definitely slip from your ears. (May be I'm little biased over the ear headphone lover :) )
So comfort level : 3/5
Next & only other thing about headphones is sound quality.
Sound quality means loudness, bass, treble, clarity.
loudness : 5/5
50-60% volume on your music device can deliver loud music on these headphones. 100% volume can be unbearably loud for ears*
*depends on the bitrate & other constrains of music file.
Bass : 4.5/5
Believe me :)
Treble : 3.3/5
I had to adjust my equalizer both on my phone and laptop as I prefer (habituated/like) treble over 'over bass'.
Clarity / Crispness : 4.2/5
Good and definitely not bad !
Over all averaged to 4 precisely !
This thing has best specs on paper and not a bad choice at this price for its performance.
EDIT ( 13 may 2013): :( :(
Hey folks, Mine is broken ( I had nothing to do with it I always used it gently ). The earphone are kinda rotating type not just side to side but also Up and down which is kind of unique design but impractical.
Warranty doesn't cover it says one service center & I'm gonna cross check it with another service center.
Better dont go 4 this one !!

i just got these headphones from flipkart.services of flipkart rocks!!.
about the headphones they are very comfortable have good amount of bass comes but lacks that treble.they are good for those who want a good pair headphone moving from stock earphones not really for audiophiles.

I have used this product. I am using this headphones from last six months. And I am having great experience with it. If you are thinking to buy new headphones at this price, just go for it. Its a steal deal at this price. You will not get this quality in ~1500 in other brands. Whatever you have any apple product - iPod, iTouch, ipad, iphone or laptop or whatever. Music or movies this thing goes cool with everything. Just grab it before it solds out. Its in great demand.
Its good on ears, comfortable, convinient. Enough long cable. It doesnt have a volume control but thats a tiny thing.
Overall form factor is also good. Just go for it.
Not bad at all!!

I am a college student who sometimes works on music. I needed a good pair headphones after i left my old Behringr studio headphones back home. Since i didn't have much cash i decided to go with this pair because of the claims of it having a well balanced and clear sound.
pros: DAMN good sound. Volume isn't bad either and if you have a good sound card or at least a player like VLC you shouldn't have any problems. The bass is actually a strong point with its "dynamic bass" feature. When i was listening to some heavy drops or some crazy metal, my ears were definitely booming. And i could still hear almost every note clearly. They even look real nice and are very stylishly designed like DJ headphones (if you really care about that stuff).
CONS:Even though they are light they are not very ergonomic. I have a big head so wearing them for too long is weird. A little bit of leakage is there but doesn't affect me much. The 6.3mm adapter is not good. It is loose and sometimes the volume output is low.
conclusion: Awesome buy. Worth the money. Good enough for musicians and music lovers. good enough for me at least. However if you can spare more cash then go for something else

Thanks Flipkart, good service and best price. Philips SBCH400 is very good,
even if you keep low volume also we can hear all frequencies with the same original punch. Audio Instruments pannings are very natural. Thanks PHILIPS and
