I have always been a fan of saving natural resources and I guess I did it right by purchasing the Philips HD4907 induction cooktop. Believe me, just like most of us, I did a lot of searching and scrubbing the hundreds of other induction cooktops online and finally shortlisted prestige, bajaj, philips and murphy richards. Prestige is a known household name, but somehow I found low ratings for prestige and it was sad to drop it from my list. The top listing was for bajaj. We do a lot of high volume cooking, for about 10 people at home and found that the top selling bajaj was just 1600W and I wanted more. But did not trust bajaj for more than 1600W. That was a good bye for bajaj. I have a murphy sandwich maker and it works wonders, and my parents have known the murphy name for long. But again I had not heard good about murphy in other reviews. So the winner in my list is philips. I have a lot of philips products, tv, toaster, radio, shavers and now induction cooktop. I have been a fan of philips. I had already made my mind to purchase philips cooktop, but i was just reviewing others as well ;) Purchased it 2 weeks back and its been wonderful experience. Mom was a bit hesitant to use it, but I guess she will get used to it. Pros: - Cooking time is fast. - sleek and white, looks great. - Works well with all steel utensils. Does not allow aluminum utensils. - Detects that there is no utensils and has auto shutoff. Need to restart it to start all over again. - Quick and neat delivery by flipkart, love it :) Cons: - Had to purchase indication base pressure cooker and other induction friendly utensils, but most of the steel utensils are good enough. - I don’t know how much will I save as compared to the electricity bills and LPG consumption. - the fan is noisy, but i am ok with it. Tells me that its working :)

I needed this for two things: 1- I don't wanna spend loads of money eating outside. 2- I love cooking. Believe me this is THE BEST induction that any one can buy. Its been almost 3 months since i have been using this. And its as new as it was on the very first day. Pros: Great value for money. Build is very good. Can cook anything. Easy to use/clean. Very lightweight. Has different modes of cooking.Best for Indian Cooking. Comes in a very nice packing. Cons: Absolutely Nothing. But it would have been great if flipkart would have given some free induction based cookware. I LOVE U FLIPKART, u guys are awesome.

I ordered PHILIPS HD4907 induction cook top with flipkart I got the delivery within 3 days. The induction cook top is really good and is convenient to use.the cooking is really fast and hassle free. the buttons are very soft and has six preset controls.most important is that it has pause button and is very usefull. really a good product.
