Although most people do not buy such an expensive study lamp. But let me tell you, this one has really enhanced look of my study table. This looks very elegant and stylish because of its' good looking design and nice finishing. Build quality is good as well. So all in all: worth buying. Wanted to buy it from flipkart but they priced it for Rs. 1100 at that time. So bought it recently from some other online shop below Rs. 1000. Planning to replace its 11W CFL with 5W as it is more bright than necessary for a study lamp. "Emergency Light" along with its' name is misleading actually. This is purely a good study lamp nothing else.

This is a very high quality product from Philips. The build and finish is simply awesome and seems like it can last for years without issues.. But the lamp and the lamp socket provided with this is E27 (European) and not the B22 (Indian standard)!! I dont know why Philips would just import and sell a product that is not standard in a country.. we had a tough time finding a replacement lamp for this one. If you live in a city like Delhi, maybe you will be able to find a replacement CFL for this one. Otherwise, don't buy this one.

I absolutely love this light. It looks beautiful, very sleek & modern, with a nice strong stand. The quality of the material that Phillips has use is par excellent (obviously!). I also like that it uses a CFL bulb (environment friendly, requires less power); it gives out white light (I don't like studying in yellow light, I find that it hurts my eyes), and that the arm is adjustable to suit your individual requirements. The light that it gives out is very generous, & I like studying under good light, since I'm studying late nights usually. It only has one flaw, which is that it doesn't say which are the on-off side of the switch. So, I got myself alphabet stickers & put "N" & "F" where "ON" & "OFF" should be (respectively). I've had it for about 6 months, use it almost every night, and the Phillips bulb that it came with is still going strong. I've had absolutely no problems with this product, and don't even expect to run into any (even if I do, I'll probably purchase another one of the same in the future). Very happy with this purchase.

Great product for office table and study table. The light is too bright and pure white 11W and also heats up. It was too much for me so I bought an additional 5W spiral CFL for ? 110 from market which is perfect. The design is good and so are the looks. 5/5 product. Bought this product from outside Flipkart for ? 1100
