Trimmer design could have been little better; it causes skin irritation. Another nuisance is shaver is not seating properly on table and rocks. I've been using Panasonic ES6013 (predecessor of ES4036) since last 7years. Believe me it is a great product and I purchased that product @3700rs and there was no maintenance at all and till last year it was giving at least 4 clean shaves (each 7min) after one charge. Since last year, battery degraded and was only giving me a couple or single shave and finally it gave up few days back. I got in touch with Panasonic, but they couldn't guarantee that they will find a battery replacement and even if they do it might cost me around 1500. Hence, I decided to purchase this product. Amazon delivered this product just in 1 day and I've used it today. It is of a same quality as the old machine and I'm confident that even this product will give me service for another 5 years easily.Just wanted to share my experience with this product:My beard is neither soft nor hard, I would say it is medium.When I purchased this product, for initial few days I felt that it is not suitable for me. Then I read instructions given by Panasonic and started using it the way they explained. Then I started feeling comfortable with it and after couple of weeks I was able to complete my shave within 5 minutes and shave was smooth and easy. It never hurts your skin and you will be surprised to see such a close shave and that dry shave. I never had to use wet shave with this even if I try to shave a week old beard.You just have to hold it with a slight angle and then move it upwards. DO NOT push it towards your face thinking that it will give you a close shave. You don't have to do that. All you need to do is stretch your skin and then softly move it in that area. Even though this is a reverse direction to your beard but it won't hurt you.Pop-up trimmer is also a good addition and it is perfect for trimming your hair, mustache.This product is worth investing and it is absolutely excellent product.

This shaver cum clipper is an absolute value-for-money product. The last one lasted me for a surprising 8 years of 7 days a week, 364 days a year use. I have used a similar product of a top brand which would last only two shaves at the most per charge whereas this one lasts 8 shaves per charge (1 hour), exactly as it claims on its user manual. I went for this product a second time because the first one was very good and trusted this Panasonic product enough to buy it again, this time from Amazon, who as promised, delivered in one day flat. Am planning buy one more as a gift to a relative, soon. Easy to use, washable, 8 shaves per charge - great value for money and I'm very happy indeed. I'm sure anyone who buys this product will be very pleasantly surprised to realize that some products still deliver what they claim to deliver! As per the information in the website, it's a new product. But on receiving I found that the battery is dead and doesn't retain the power even for one minute. A kind of cheating. Amazon need to replace the battery or refund the cost of the battery. The seller has cheated in the sale of this product providing a dead battery.
